Random acts of violence to complete strangers is so common place nowadays. And don't get me started on youth violence. Everyone seems to be carrying a knife or some other weapon and they aren't afraid to use them.

Nathan Foster, 18, shot dead by a 17 year old because he was mistaken for someone who had stolen a gold chain worth a few hundred quid.
Sophie Lancaster, 20, killed by a gang of 15 and 16 year olds because of the way she dressed.
Henry Webster, 15, a fight after school turned into 12-15 kids aged 13-18 attaking the kid with claw hammers. He survived the attack but now has permanent brain damage.
Just yesterday, 8 men were arrested for attacking a 15 yearold boy with a hammer as he left school.
