Upstairs or basement? Which is better for odor?

I'm thinking if I grow upstairs the scent will sink down and fill the entire house but if I grow in the basement the scent will stay down there. Does that make any sense? I'm trying to reduce the risk of the scent being detectable from outside my house.

Unless you used Carbon filters the smell will everywhere in the house up or down. Do the basement because less chance of light being detected from the outside and it stays cooler.

Buy a good carbon scrubber and fan and grow in basement (wish we had basements)

If the room isn't sealed that won't even help. I love basements.

basement is always better. but smell drifts up not down. air naturally rises as it warms up.
