Its not even a matter of supply and demand. Drug abuse has been around the same % of population since existence- the problem is the Drug War. The politicians control the flow, which controls price, and funding for government.

Nothing is changing until we legalize drugs, ask the drug cartels- they've openly thanked the U.S. Legislature for accepting bribes to keep drugs illegal, as keeping things illegal keeps them in business. Its sad when the cartel leaders openly say that legalization would ruin their business for good...but they have no fear of that because of US greed.

And yes to the above poster- our Afghan presence is for heroin, as we are now the largest dealers in the world via Afghanistan. Funny if you watch some of teh vids about it from the military. One military cat lifted up a couple keys of black tar they found on airships, and said his bosses told him not to worry about wasnt his concern- and thats supposedly the regular. They are there to "fight terrorism" not drugs supposedly.

If you happened to be living on the Texas border...say Raymonville or Port Mansfield, you could buy popcorn on the street for $25 an ounce. There are several sativas grown Mexico that rival MMJ in strength and healing qualities. Just because the commercial version of street pot is barley grown to maturity and is handled roughly does not mean it all is ! Some folks grow a small batch of primo buds and do it right. Even regular street pot has healing. For example, I knew of an elderly Mexican lady that would buy a matchbox of pot, pour it into a dish and cover it with rubbing alcohol, and after it covered in white mold would rub it on her joints in her hands for pain relief. For that use, it might not matter what quality it was....the story is this: Don't let you alligator mouth overload your parakeet ass...lol

Mexico used to have more refined strains and some of the Highland was the shit back in the day, but much of it has been crossed out with free breeding by greedy cartels who grow lesser quality and more quanity.I still have some very good Mexican Highland genetics as do a few older collectors. If the cartels had there way they`d do the same thing to us medical growers in the Norcal forests! Pollen drifts for miles!
