Veg time vs yield ?? Help

Is there a certain amount of veg time that guarantees you an amount of bud providing you do your bit obviously genetics play there part but is there like a standard veg time that say could guarantee me four ounce a plant

Honestly my thing with the vegging is just learn how to veg for your system. I have a 4x4 flower tent and a 2x3 veg tent neither of them have much vertical space so I can’t veg plants very long just make them bushy with a few tops and put them in the flower tent very small and produce 4 ounce plants. The plant is very malleable lol

If you use one tent for both I used to veg until my horizontal space was about full and then flip them and let them stretch vertically. Idk if I’m answering your question but like you said it is so subjective to strain, environment, how much light you’re running in veg etc etc

Figure out the area of your tent or space
Figure out your plant count

I use 4 plants in a 1.2x1.2
I slit the area into 4 in my head nd see if my plants cover about 25/30% of the floor from top down,

I’ll add my scrog about 2/3” abouve the canopy Then I’ll flip to flower and work then into the scrog during there 2 week stretch,

Ends up filling the tend wall to wall keeping them from stretching to far into the light,

Final result is a sea of nugs,

Only thing is try to monitor humidity nd mold thts put an end to a few of my babies in the past

I've got a 2.4 x 1.2 tent with ten ladies in week 7 from seed I wanna flip on the tenth of next month I've fimed topped and low stress trained them there all bushy little ladies but there quite spread out and not tall I wanna let them get a bit of size multiple streins btw I think three more week will do the job

They tend to double if not triple come flower

So if u have a foot tall plant now after flip they’ll be about 2/3 foot

Not an accurate measurement at all but if u count the true tops on your plants, they average about 7g a top

What light you got, an estimated 1g per w is average aswell

I'm running two 600 watt hps for now but ove got a 720w bar style l.e.d coming before flip so gonna swap out one hps for that

All indica dominant plants so shouldnt triple haha i hope not if they get too big before my planned flip date i might have to re evaluate

The led will help a lot with keeping the temps down aswell as cost

720w led will be fine start off on 50% when you flip then up it to 75 week 2 as the buds start putting on them up to 100% around week 3/4 u till finish,

7plants under a 720w with training
I can see upwards of 120g per plant
If everything is diled in environmental and feed wise you should be fine my freind

Cost and heat but im still. Gonna have one hps in there so should get best of both worlds haha

I havent made the switch yet still have LED : ) but i know one can achieve great results with the MH/HPS setups. Me personally am not yet at the level of growing where the cost justifies the yield lol. One of the these days though : )

Ive allways used hps had some great results summer is coming and ive never grown when its hot i allways seem to grow near christmass im just hoping my yield wont go down but im mixing the spectrum so i hope im on to a winner

Considering 2 strains taking same will produce compleatly different results no you cant have a garantee. But some rule of thumb is 1-2gram/w as long as you fill the room nicley.

Yeah gonna be big ladies anyway three more week veg and there allready quite bushy lots of tops just not sure how my canopys gonna be ive got 4 runtz muffin two wonder pie two stardog and two gorilla szkittles

Therers a good bit of room there all pushed close together when i spread them out they will have a good bit of space
