Anyone use a vipar spectra xs 2500 light.
If so what height have you had luck with flowering?

I don't, but I'm thinking about buying one for my 2x4 tent.Anyone use a vipar spectra xs 2500 light.
Do you mean the distance from the light to the crown of the plant? If so, I usually try to have as much distance as possible inside my tents. If so what height have you had luck with flowering?

Yes to the top of the plant. Do you rely on ppfd. I didn't want light stress if it is to low. But want enough to get more yield.I don't, but I'm thinking about buying one for my 2x4 tent.

I measure it sometimes, but I use DLI more often. I mostly watch the leaves for light stress and reduce the light when I see it. I like the Photone phone app, and linked to a page that discusses lighting requirements. I don't suggest that as absolute truth. It just provides a description of how a plant's lighting needs change during its life and the impact of flipping to 12/12.Do you rely on ppfd.
I wouldn't run mine at 10" if I could avoid it. The wider dispersion over greater distance seems to help the outside flowers and reduces light stress on the center of the plant. That's if the light is directly over the plant, and I think that's the idea behind the XS2500's design.I didn't want light stress if it is to low. But want enough to get more yield.
The specs show it down to 10", seems kinda close.
Ok I will check the leaves, 3 weeks into flower and looking good.I'm not using that light but I just got a xs1500 pro I'm going to be using soon. I just bought a 3x2x6 and after the 1 gallon challenge, might add another xs1500 pro to it.
For the lights I have used, I'm usually sitting at 18"-24" depending on stretch. I've been as close as 12" because of a stretch I wasn't expecting but I was able to lower the intensity of my light to compensate.
Also depends on the area you need to cover.
If you have bud sights that are toward the sides of the tent away from the light more, you may have to raise the height higher and intensity higher in order to give them the best light where they're at.
Just watch the plant, if you see signs such as yellow/browning leaf tips then raise your light or lower intensity.
Idk if you're in flower yet but don't just crank your light intensity up when you flip. I leave it at veg setting for at least the first week and then start turning up intensity a little each week. In the middle of flower is when I run them the hardest, that will be for a few weeks and then I start dimming them again toward the last few weeks.
Hey. How did you get on? I run an xs2500pro at 10" at full power during flower and didn't have a single burn issue.Ok I will check the leaves, 3 weeks into flower and looking good.
I'm at 10" now, and plants are looking good. I have no other choice except buy a taller tent.I measure it sometimes, but I use DLI more often. Focusing on growing healthy plants is probably the best way to achieve both good yield and potency.
