water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink

hey, i have been using distilled water for my girls and i was purchasing this from a company in 25l containers for around 12£ ii have just noticed that tesco do their drinking water in 5 l containers for a 1£ so doing the maths....
im going to test the water for ph it says 6.5 at source, so this would appear acheaper alternate? any comments welcome, or better ideas?

ive got a better idea use your tap water buy your self a ph test and buffer from ebay and some dry ph down that should sort ya and work out cheaper in the long run

tap water is super hard in our area, what id spend in filters... nice idea will look into it though.

unless your in a very remote location i suggest getting a reverse osmosis system. opens up all that room for extra nutes and then you know exactly what your giving your ladies

yeah, i think getting an ro system would be the best way to go...
