Well This Is Not Good At All, Read And Weep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, the list is now on page 3. On a good note, some of the added names are there to show they will at least be putting it back to voters.

what I don't get, is how a city can put a law into place that contradicts state medical use? here in Michigan, its a medical state, however the city I live in does not allow grows. I don't grow within the city limits, BUT ill be f'n damned if I abide by some city asshats "law" when the state GRANTS me the right (passed my the voters, not some suit wearing clown) if I happen to grow within the city limits.

What never ceases to amaze me is in their infinite wisdom the dipshits that run our state and local governments talked about eliminating the dreaded black market. Then once the cannabis train left the station with the 1st states to get onboard, now we are witnessing regulating, taxing, and overall ignorant rules and laws that will most certainly keep the black market going. When are they ever going to learn that in a country founded on Freedom, most adults dont like to be told what they can and cant do. Prohibiting our rights doesnt work!!!! When will they ever get it. Long live the BM!!!

What's keeping the black market alive are all the states where it is still illegal.

I'm not sure I agree with that. Most of the peeps I know here are all servicing former card holders that got tired of paying 300 a year to have their so called "right" to smoke weed.

Then there were those that realized that the boutique growers had way better shit than the dispos were churning out. And to me thats where the State fucked up by not allowing private growers to be able to donate their weed to the dispos.
All the dispo erb here is mass produced, harvested early, improperly dried and cured, I take that back , forced dried and not cured at all, then not to mention, all of the PGR's and pesticides/fungicides being used by workers that dont have a clue what they are doing. Then in the States infinite wisdom there are no regulations to assure that the industry has any safety net for the unwitting patient who is smoking the crap they are putting out. We dont check here for molds, pests, thc or cbd content nada ziltch.

There will always be a market for well grown boutique weed. Long live the small time guys. Those of us that over 30-40 years risked life, limb, and liberty & freedom to bring this plant out of the darkness.

I at first was sort of giddy at living long enough to see it become legal. Then watching it all unfold has given me a sickening feeling watching how greed , control and power are ruining the entire movement. I'll step off my soapbox. Sorry for the rant. Peace

@jumpincactus for better or worse that will change. The notion that shops don't have good weed is dead and gone here in CO. LOTS of shops selling A++ for $150-$200 a zip. I also know folks that are being serviced by the black market within the state, but they are the exception not the rule. The vast majority of BM weed is going out of state.

You made some valid points in your reply. This one ^^^^^^^is one I can concur on because now a days not everyone can afford the yearly renewal. My thoughts for them is " if I have you have".

yea...I have long said the government wont ever eliminate the government, so long as they attempt to solve the way the government always solves things (regulations, red tape, bureaucracy, extreme waste, and general lack of logic) While the grower in me would love to have so that cannabis could be planted right next to the tomatoes in the front yard and no one would give 2 shits attempt to rob etc. The reality though is the black market only goes away when marijuana is accepted in every single state, there are 0 bans on its consumption, there are 0 added pain in the asses to growing it legally. I personally can't picture the government every doing that lol.

The Black market/Black money will not go away regardless of whether every state in the Union passes the laws for its use (Cannabis). Taxes, regulations and skirt price controls or rationing will be the motives for keeping the Black market alive. The market itself is forced to operate outside the formal economy that is supported by the established state power. The Black market being a subset of the informal economy will be kept alive allowing us to thrive.

I fully agree on every level. So fucking much. I am in oregon, a legal state. I sell damn near exclusively black market according to the state. Dispensary are the biggest joke out here...you would think since they are the legal market, the weed would be impeccable. Sadly, this is not the case. If all I had in my jars was the crap the dispensary had, no one would ever come back to me. All no smell, short highs from premature harvest, prematurely trimmed, prematurely jared, fluffy buds that are tiny etc. I have gone in with tested 26% thc straight fire, all clean meds, and been offered 1k a unit...when I clearly can see their cheapest stuff is 10 bucks a gram flat rate, and no where near the quality.

Personally, I know I will grow till the day I can no longer physically do it, regardless of the profit margins. Passion for the plant, and passion to have the highest quality, cleanest buds will always have someone wanting to smoke em.

Yep...no legal commodity goes for what weed does a oz, expect gold lol. The $ is a direct result of the risk. Take away the risk, and the price will go off a cliff. But thats not at all the way the government functions lol.
