What kind of mushroom are these?

Just found these growing under a tree in a mulch bed. They looked cool so I stopped to inspect and remove them. Curious to know what species it is. Thanks.

Corpinaceae maybe. But when it comes to mushrooms man... it’s a tricky game.

I had an uncle that picked mushrooms his whole life and was one of the best at identifying. He’s now dead from eating a death cap so tread carefully.

Haha thanks for the concerns everyone. I wasn’t planning on eating these but had some time to kill and wanted to find out what they were. I’ll save mushroom consumption to super market finds or legit shrooms!!
Someone one shroomery said possibly inky caps.
Also peep these that are located across the way from the first.
Thanks for the concern about eating them and health. I would never just go eat anything I wasn’t 100% positive for reasons like the expert who eats a death cap! Sorry to hear about your uncle. :( that’s so unfortunate!
I did read that there are shrooms that grow in NOrth East USA which is interesting.
