What should I do with these free auto seeds

So I received some freebies from my last purchase at seedsman. I was able to choose two freebies and out of the 4 choices I chose 3xWhite Widow feminized seeds and 3xcritical +2.0 auto seeds. The other two options were regular seeds and I didn’t want those. So I never grown autos before but know there lighting is different than photos. I’m growing photo plants and not sure what I should do with them. Any suggestions? Should I just throw them in the flower room and say fuck it haha? Thanks

No tjey will need 18/6 full cycle in my opininion - autos are much more finicky - lite feeders usually if you transplant do it early with no plant stress. Good luck

That’s what I was afraid of. Guess I’ll just hold on to them for a rainy day or give them to an auto grower. Thanks for you help

Just run them as usual. You can run auto's on 12/12 cycles...I have 2 GSC autos now at almost 3 weeks in flower I flipped with 3 photo's....I planted 3 seeds 1 showed male at 4 weeks the fems I then transplanted into 3 gallon and kept them on 18 hrs for 2 more weeks before I turned them to 12/12 and they're growing just as photo's. I've run auto's in the past and I've never had the opportunity to keep them on 18 hrs through flower. I was hoping to do that with these 2 GSC but they're doing just fine on 12/ 12....

I’ll just keep my moms in the veg tent until all the autos are done. Making a journal about it since it’s my first time with autos, just I case I get more in the future

For some reason the seed banks like to send autos as freebies. I have a whole bunch and at some point I will probably run them. They probably would do well outside in a Michigan summer and finish soon enough to avoid the fall weather issues outside. Especially if started early inside.

Yeah I wonder why? I keep getting there feminized white widow seeds as freebies too so I’m definitely not complaining hahaha. Just thought autos had a different light schedule which someone confirmed earlier in the post they do, so I’m gonna grow one at a time in my small mom tent. And make the moms share the veg tent. The new experience will be nice. I wish I could grow outdoor, but I’m in NC :( I love the state, just wish they weren’t gonna be one of the last to come over to the legal side of cannabis

Thanks, I still have the male living outdoors, its all in full bloom or just about to pop today. I'd like to keep the pollen if I can do it. I read up a bit today as I've not tried to keep it before. I read I can let it dry I before I harvest the pods so if I chop it and hang it where it can dry I'll then I think I'll jar it as I would pot just drier.

Bad genetics have more of a chance to hermie imo. It could be autos or photo-period plants. Even regulars can herm. Sometimes fems and autos get a bad reputation due to breeders rushing them to market before the strains have been stabilized. Stable strains rarely herm unless you're doing something to cause it.

I've no Idea, hermies for me have come from my own fk ups, light leaks and planting seeds from those light leaked hermied seeds. I haven't had hermies in years now. I've used reg seeds I've gotten here from fellow farmers and store bought fems....My last order was from QCseeds.....so far so good, sent me a bunch of freebies with each order and their plants ( in veg) look great, nice and strong, big green leaves, sturdy stalk & growing great.

Not gonna grow much of them after this unless I buy more seeds and get some freebies but that’s why I’m growing moms and taking cuttings so I don’t have to keep buying seeds

I buy seeds so I don't have to take care of the moms. Also, I get a lot of variety by where with clones until you're ready to start something new from seed ... you're stock with the strains in my mom collection.

Yeah I wish I could just buy seeds, it’s so much easier but my wife said she doesn’t want me to spend an extr60-80 bucks every month and a half if I don’t have to. I’m glad she’s letting me get and do everything that I’m doing now hahaha
