No, more like 16-18 weeks.So the day you change light schedule to 12/12 it takes your colombian plant almost 11 weeks to flower maturation?

Time to go get medicated. Losing my math abilities!!!No, more like 16-18 weeks.
No wonder you like to start beans at 12/12; that cuts a good 2 months off of your grow time.No, more like 16-18 weeks.
I love the Colombian high, but it takes too long. Even the hybrids were 75-80 days.No wonder you like to start beans at 12/12; that cuts a good 2 months off of your grow time.
Why is it a waste of money? If i can grow a strain that gives me more satisfaction at the expense of time,I consider the fast maturing strain that doesn't satisfy a waste of money. To each their own.I’d never grow a strain that took that long indoors. Waste of money. 8 weeks is ideal. 7 is primo. 9 weeks is max for me. I had a 10 week strain (wedding crasher) and I don’t have the patience for that.
I believe the 8 or 9 weeks. But 7 weeks to fully ripen a plant? Im not buying into that one. Ive never heard of it happening or seen it happen.I’d never grow a strain that took that long indoors. That brings up a point of curiosity for me. Is it possible to make buds ripen faster through say light deprivation, etc.?I believe the 8 or 9 weeks. But 7 weeks to fully ripen a plant? Im not buying into that one. Ive never heard of it happening or seen it happen.
I don't believe so. If you were to try it i dont think the flowering time would be any different. What i do think would change is the bud/plant size due to the less hours of light. Giving a photoperiod 8 hours of light vs 12 i feel would be like growing an auto straight 12/12.That brings up a point of curiosity for me. Is it possible to make buds ripen faster through say light deprivation, etc.?
Do you have the link for the seeds for this Colombian strain? Is the high intense? I'd like to take a look, you have my curiosity piqued.I love the Colombian high, but it takes too long. Even the hybrids were 75-80 days.
GS -- can be 'selective if you did everything 100% correct they will turn out to this timeline; probably strain specificity. The flower 'time clock' is right at the 12/12 flip to flower and then wait....and wait....and keep the mold and bugs away...and take out your loupe (for the 12,658th time) and send a post asking if it is 'done'. Also partial harvest if you've got top heavy buds blocking lower sections of the plant...(I resemble that remark). Now I'm waiting and being attentive.I would throw the breeder timeline in the trash. Its completely useless and doesnt mean anything in my opinion. Not one single plant ive grown has finished in the breeders said timeline. Currently growing a "9 week finisher" and im in the 13th week of flower now with no sign of it finishing within the next 2 weeks.
I tried the partial harvest thing once and the second harvest was trash compared the the first. Im an all or nothing kind of guy.GS -- can be 'selective if you did everything 100% correct they will turn out to this timeline; probably strain specificity. No,the best you can do is provide the requisites for optimum health.That brings up a point of curiosity for me. Is it possible to make buds ripen faster through say light deprivation, etc.?
Yeh that song about know when to walk away and know when to run was 100% not written for me, I'm really patient and can wait in the sitting room or sit in the waiting room.I tried the partial harvest thing once and the second harvest was trash compared the the first. Yeah i can wait for the entire plant to finish. Making one harvest into two just seems like unnecessary work IMO.Yeh that song about know when to walk away and know when to run was 100% not written for me, I'm really patient and can wait in the sitting room or sit in the waiting room.
Im indica lover and there is few strains/phenos who was ready at 7 weeks but mostly 8-9 weeks they are ready. Depends when you start counting flower days (after few pistils).I believe the 8 or 9 weeks. But 7 weeks to fully ripen a plant? Im not buying into that one. Ive never heard of it happening or seen it happen.
What if you're in it for the love of the plant and money is not a concern?4 months of flower is a waste of money imo. You won’t yeild twice as much as doing 2 2 month flower strains. Prob not even close. And I don’t consider 8-9 week fast strains. That’s normal.
Time=money
It happens. I've had several that were true 50 day from flip 100% done.I believe the 8 or 9 weeks. But 7 weeks to fully ripen a plant? Im not buying into that one. Ive never heard of it happening or seen it happen.
