When is it seasonally too late to top a marijuana plant?

Recently topped a few outdoor plants
In the veg state. It’s already August 6 and I’m wondering if topping a plant is a bad idea this close to the flowering period. Here are pictures of 2 topped and 2 untopped plants. Any thoughts on this appreciated.

Ya that short I'd leave them as they are. Let them shoot up a while longer without shock.
Once they get a good bit bigger you can top anytime during flower.
One time wont hurt once the plant is raging out a little more. Even halfway thru flower.
But they are really small to do it yet.
Considering they have very little time left to veg. I would give them another few weeks and then think about maybe doing it one time...

Do it in a month. Just one time. Yes in the middle of flower.

Also supercropping. Give it a month and then just bend a nice flexible part close to the top. Pinch it first to make it flat and flexible (so it doesn't just snap on ya). Then just let it flop over. It will fix itself in no time.

I might try super cropping a few. Thanks for the insight. Have you had success with it?
Thanks

Actually maybe not the supercropping. Things are gonna start getting woody in a month. Just snip a piece of the very very top.

It's too early for either thing. Leave them unshocked for now.

Here's what I would do... Wait a month. Till they get some flower action going. Then snip off just the tip of the cola. Even do the pluck thing if you can grip that one little chunk without smashing everything around it. Just reach in carefully with the scissors and snip the very top off the cola.

The very highest point you can clip the main stem. Just reach in carefully with the scissors so you dont chew up any buds and nip the top.
In a month...

Right on, I probably topped them too late any way. Not sure really, but I only topped the super healthy ones about a week ago, so August 2 or something. I didn’t consider it being so close to flowering.

wait a sec... Is that 2 plants in 1 pot.
Please tell me you're not trying to grow 2 plants in a single pot.
If so you need to untangle and transplant those right now.

You need to get all of those in their own individual pot or in the ground right now.
The roots will certainly be a tangle mess. Shit man.
Ya you can't do that. Sorry not tryin to flame. But you cannot ever put 2 plants in the same thingy.

You may still have time to carefully untangle those roots without a scalpel. You seriously need to do that right now.

They're not complaining yet but they will.

those ones look just fine. you're good.
Good to know. New at this. So far I’ve learned that bud worms are the worst. Trying BT this year as I’ve already seen a couple and luckily found a dead one after I sprayed. Anyway, thanks for the advice.

The 2 per pot thing is because I’m planning on one being male. Probably bad idea, but I think I read something on it.

ya no. they're all gonna crap out like that... pollen blows in the wind from a mile away you dont need to smush them together.
You need to get those separated.

Seriously if you can safely remove 2 the other 2 would thank you for it... but then of course try to put those 2 in new thingys as well.
