Hong Kong - I converted 1 if my bathrooms to a grow room & what i did about venting was to remove the orig. ceiling exhaust fan, screw a 6" flange over the hole & put a 6" Vortex in the attic crawl space above. Air enters thru the heat duct in the floor from the basement (disconnected from the furnace) & up thru the ceiling to exhaust the whole room. I don't know what your situation is but i'm burning 700 watts (2, 4x4 T-5's, 1, 4x4 T10 + a 250W MH) in mine & the temps stay at 76 degrees.
If the temps get too hot this sumer, i'll just re-connect the duct back to the hvac for a/c.

thats great! i will be on something similar, unfortunately ive cut my losses and am moving to a new bathroom. i happend to not have an exhaust fan in this bathroom which kinda sucks, but in my new bathroom i do. really preciate the brainstorming.
