White Widow Smell???

Hey growers,

I got a question that needs answering. This is my first time growing White Widow (purchased from Nukeheads.com). White Widow is 3 weeks in veg and the stems smell ammonia. I can't find too much info on White Widow stems smelling like cat piss. I'm thinking I was sent Cat Piss seeds instead of White Widow... Who is growing White Widow and who can tell me if their stems smell like ammonia????

Wouldn't surprise me..Nukeheads has a poor reputation from what I read..

Forgot, I am growing WW from Seedsman right now..smells like pine/woody to me..NOT cat piss at all.
To be fair..there are tons of WW crosses out there.

Pleasure..One review I read said the OP bought Fems and got males in the mix..sounded VERY sketchy.Again, to be fair, shit happens and seeds are no exception..
I bought some GDP from a seedbank in the UK..grew 3 of them and 1 turned out to be a Kush like something, while the others were spot on..I notified them and they offered me a FREE 10 pk of fems of my choice..shipping and stealth included..:)

MNSL..only thing is limited selection and you usually have to buy a 10pk..Their sales are the way to go..Got GDP BYGYF last yr (feminized)..gave a bunch away and still have more left.
OH..the genetics are their own from breeders in Amsterdam..THEY SAY!! I have bought from them a few times before and all was as it was supposed to be. WAIT FOR SALES!

Hey Bro, just noticed this forum!I am a little late to your question about the WW. I am currently growing one and no ammonia smell. Plus i would stay away from Nukeheads seeds. I have spent over 200 dollars on their si called seeds and not one will germinate for me. I am not the only one who has this problem either. I got my seeds of WW from Barney’s Farm and the first seed i germinated took right away. Check out Micro Growers and it is a cool site for info and you’ll find other people there that has the same problems as you had with NukeHeads. Also if you post anything negative on their Facebook page they will delete it. Good Luck!

Just pulled my first one down 3 days ago. No ammonia smell. It smells mostly sweet with a bit of spice a little cedar and the slightest tinge of orange flinstone vitamin that ol school good weed smell so far. Had a couple hits from the bong earlier and then immediately started cleaning the house for a couple hrs lol. I got mine as a clone though so who knows. It is also extremely dense.

Same here..Pulled off 1 ounce and let the rest ripen a few weeks back..finishing jarring them today!..smells like you described and potent too. (mine from Seedsman)

I know this is probably too late, but I'm growing white widow and for a second the other day I thought I smelled cat piss as well. Not the same seedbank though.

Nukeheads sold me fem seeds. And the seeds I cracked which was 3 in total were all male. Found it out ten days into flowering. I have worked in industry for decades and never used fem seeds before, Bc I welcome pollen for breeding. I relocated back east from Cali after over a decade to mass. Bc of baby boomer parent in ny having medical issues. I didn’t pay too much attention to the veg stage. Noticed in flowering the fem twist was not happening. And then I noticed why. Males all of them. I would not trust getting seeds from them again. Wasted a lot of time and money getting nowhere. Contacted them and they asked for me to send pics. I did and never heard back. Now I brought in clones (which I hate doing Bc of keeping my grow sterile and clean) got fresh seeds from a known n trusted company. Which will be cracked and put in after the clones finish and my veg can be disenfected. I am a medical
Patient and they messed with my medicine. I would never buy from them again. They definitely nuked my head.

Those guys have a TERRIBLE reputation and to the best of my knowledge..always have. There is always a slight chance of getting a male in a feminized batch, but a VERY slight chance. I think Fems are more like to hermie than regs, but I have only had one serious issue (below and from a good seedbank too).
Checkout the Seedpolice before buying seeds.

I had 2 WW's last year were not for me but got stuck..this is outdoors..

1 was awesome super frosty and kinda sweet would not say berry but distinct and a favorable flavor taste when burned early in cure probly earliest I have ever encountered

the other was a joke..I had a friend who would every time he went near that side of garden say dam that smells like cat piss

it had more of a bud hair brownish/white then a frost heck nite pictures it barely showed as the others were glowing with frost

it sucks now in cure also not just no taste but a bad taste and the stone is just not interesting

so if ya got a cat piss one I would just find some other thangs cuz it never gets better

not sure where the gear was from as in breeder
