why do my buds shrink ?

I did overdry them in the beginning, then I put them with a little damp paper towel to get moisture back in them, then they shrunk a lil, I'm a first time grower is this normal? this is also the first time I've posted here

Yes they'll shrink as you've found out loose most of the moisture.
