Assuming you innoculate the system prior to installing the UV, yes. If you add things after the UV is in place it will make them almost useless.

The UV light is in the nutrient tank. The bennies are in the soil and applied by hand via a spray to the root crown. I do not recirculate.

The UV light is in the nutrient tank in another room. It can't kill the bennies in the soil.

Will it cause trouble with the nutrient solution or is the wattage too low?
