Why not use Mylar or Foylon?

Hello, I am finishing up my room today and was wondering why everyone use white plastic instead of a reflective material such as Mylar or Foylon?

White plastic completely covering the room seals it alot better. I put mylar over top of the plastic.

Biggest reason is ease of installation..the white plastic is alot more ridgid and easier to put up, whereas the mylar is extremely flimsy and easy to rip..white plastic is also easier to clean..I personally dont bother with either, white paint seams to be easier than both.
