So I have a blue labs pen for ph. It’s generally awesome but I got a case of root rot this week and all the sudden the pen starts going crazy.
pH:
6.1
5.5
7.3
All within seconds. So I recal the pen. Good as new. Check for 7 and then 4 after calibration. Perfect. Go back to buckets same deal-all over the place. Is the root rot doing this?
My nutes and everything are looking good exc the rot and the pH

Are you testing straight in the bucket or are you drawing water into a vessel before testing? Have you tested anything else to see if it reads ok other than the calibration solutions?

Clean the tip
Test in a cup.

if it remains wild in the cup this is the failure mode for a probe who’s tip was not kept wet.
