In my opinion I would and do always water till 20-25% runoff
And yes ck the ppm water goin in and then ck the runoff ppm - what’s the difference? I don’t like to let it increase past 50%

When your runoff ppms are higher than your in ppm numbers, then yes, you need to flush because you will change the chemistry of the pot and the plant will suffer.
If you use 5 gal pots, then flush with 5 gal pot X 3 = 15 Gallons of clean water. You ideally want your out ppms lower than the in. That means the plant is eating what you are giving it.

You might not ever need to flush if you water between feedings. I saw that promix at walmart. Scary looking stuff @ 90% peat. Some of them moisture control soils also have little watering retaining blocks that work great for house plants but not good for weed. I hope you added a ton of perlite.
