I would use that system for grafting too. I’ve seen this done with plastic bag and rubber bands plenty. Best not have high humidity though, there is 1 drawback that I know of, this method can cause fungus on certain breeds of plants. Cannabis included, but I would definitely run that. A huge...

Found this by accident, what do you guys think about it ? It was called something like Air layering cloning jig said to produce roots while still attached to the Stem.

You can walk up to it, and take a plum or a peach, or an apricot... it blooms in succession. Diferent parts flower at different times, and different color flowers. There are like 20 of them across the country, but nurseries sell smaller "fruit salad trees" with less diversity.

That's the one......air layering......looks super easy....never tried it...... I remember reading about the Syracuse professor grafting those trees many years ago..... I went to the university to see if I could find it.....I wasn't in college, so I was hoping driving by I'd see...

Air layering! I'm a fan. Never thought about it for cannabis. Damn! You going to bonsai your plants now!

Anyone every try this with cannabis?

    Yup exactly how its done

Anyone every try this with cannabis?

Not sure why it's called air layering. Does seem like an interesting cloning technique, though. I could imagine a good sized mother with those air layering wraps all over here. You could then just snip'em all off at the same time and drop'em in pots. ✌️

Air layering... I stand corrected... Thanks everyone....

Curing and Burping: I have questions

I do have one of those. Is this method better than the paper bag method?

Curing and Burping: I have questions

THIS^^^^^ The idea is to slowly draw the moisture out of the middle of the flower without destroying the surface trichs. If you dry too slowly you risk fungus and rot. If you dry too quickly you risk trichs hardening and falling off when you handle them. As Growsince79 posted, an old school...

I'm about to Quit growing. Need Help please.

Ditch the rooting hormone too much auxins can lead to paradoxical effects that actually prevents rooting Lower temps to reduce bacterial growth & plant metabolism Reduce leaf surface further and keep embedded nodes always in contact with water and strictly away from light Light - very low...

The air layering clones aren't doing so hot. 1 is showing brown leaf edges, since there aren't many leaves it may be a deathblow. The other is doing better, but is heading in the same direction. I think the issue is that I pulled all the buds off and it's hard on the plants especially given...

Armed with my recent success with air layering I've decided to air layer a branch on the big plant. It's strong enough to fill both scrogs by itself. So I will modify my RDWC to make it one tub... probably a 8 inch pot, and plant the clone. I'll veg the shit out of it, use gas, fill the...

Most successful way to take biggest clones possible for DWC?

It's where you put some kind of rooting media midway on a branch of a plant and keep it moist until roots show. It's a common technique for propagating various kinds of plants. Once roots show, you cut the branch below the roots and you've a clone of the parent plant.

What is air layering clones, I've never heard of this?

Most successful way to take biggest clones possible for DWC?

I’ve done the air layering clones in the past and depending on the size of the plant you can make huge clones.

I'll have to read your responses tomorrow. These 12hr shifts killin me. So I'm assuming your thought process is that when you cut them off, they will have roots established already. Thus allowing you to transplant into a veg system and skip the cloning system. I imagine it will work, just as...

Here is the accompanying video for the air layering process I talked about earlier. This is the way I did it after 15 or 20 minutes of research on YouTube. This isn't the definitive Bible on air layering. If you want to give it a try I recommend a bit more research. Cheers.

I was talking to someone and found myself recommending air layering. I had never done it, just never made time, so I figured if I recommend it I should know more about it. Here is what I came up with on another forum. Here's my official air layering first experience. It seems so easy, as...

How do i go about cloning 10 to 20 year old old plant stock?

The technique is called air layering and there are a pile of approaches to it. It doesn't get used for pot very often because it isn't particularly hard to clone and this approach requires a lot more work. Pretty common approach to cloning fruit trees though. This guys technique is decent...
