600 Hps Digital Ballasts

any recs??

I am going hps fir a year to get 4 harvests n then invest in led.

But for now anyone have good ballasts somewhat cheap. I know what comes from eBay/Amazon is junk but being I plan it as my workhorse for a year

Then dump it off to a buddy. I'd like something that would go a tad past 600, like the 110% 660w

Or even a 1k dialed down with a 750 bulb.

I have to deal with hot summers so I'll need to take it down to a 400 those 4 months.

I don't want to spend a lot but don't want a pos. Yes I know they are typically opposites

I rocked Apollo ballasts and bulbs for about 4.5 yrs with zero issues. They may be in the cheap end, but did very well for me.

I'd get a 600 tho, dialing down a 1k is like driving with your e brake on imo. I do something like .92 grams per watt with 600s at that spot. I have sealed phantom ballasts.

Also rocked Apollo. Still have some old hoods laying around here somewhere. Didn't have any issues.

Check out lowballer (handle on amazon) I used to run 6x600 apollo ballasts , and never had an issue when running Apollo bulbs. BUT..... I tried running ushio flower bulbs and instantly blew 3x 600hps ballasts and the 3 ushio bulbs.

Nervous to buy lights on az after my galaxy led.

I am borrowing a 400/600/1000/1000+
Selectable but it needs to go back in a couple weeks.

Debeating 1kv digital selectable too. I guess I'll consider Apollo

Mine are too tall for 1kv all day but I give 7hr 600 n 5hr 1kv
