Instead of using hydroton or any other kind of ph insensitive growing medium has anyone here tried bio-balls or specifically activated charcoal bio-balls?
I could see how regular bio balls would be much better than using hydroton with pH issues I've not only read about but experienced myself. I would think though that activated charcoal bio balls would even be better to use as a growing medium considering their use is for the creation of beneficial bacteria. From what I read not only is beneficial bacteria good for the General Health of a hydroponic system but specifically for the roots correct?
