I think that"s it.I'm 5 days no cannabis,so I'm a bit loopy.longest dry spell in 30 years.purging the system a bit.

The banana x ucsfv is fully tested from an earlier batch I made.I did get some SBL x UCSFV separated,which @LEDSMOKE ran,the starfighter x UCSFV will stand out like a sore thumb,very starfighter dom.they were rhe palest of them all.the ghost train haze x UCSFV should stand out by thier thin leaves.the Whitefire x UCSFV were the largest seeds. I think the mix should be a hoot.too much good in there not to be.Itake will be fun watching and helping you sort them out,thanks to jr.lol

This is a great map towards identifying the genetics.
Maybe once they get started you could pop in and help potentially identify?

I'll be choosing 4 seeds for this next round. I'll probably dip into the Jr's mix.

Also would you like a separate thread @thunderfudge?
Or could I mix them in here?

I also have a few seeds of some varieties that didn't get shaken to shit,so we can possibly decode the mystery.im looking forward to it!!!

I received my 2 gal order of isopropyl alcohol today.

Came in 8 quart bottles and was $32 total= $16gal. Has to be the best deal I can find online for %99+

I'll be making oil in no time.

To helping you build something (was a carpenter). I've helped him paint his projects too.

There was a period of time last year or year before last. Where I made an agreement with him. That if he let me use his garage to upgrade my cars suspension. That I would buy him 1 case of beer (24pack) of his choice every week that my car occupied the space.

Well I didn't foresee having trouble sourcing certain replacement parts that were discontinued. I had to custom make them by hand. I had to find a suitable material for this application that was in the correct dimensions to carve down into size/shape. Took some time to buy material, wait for it in the mail, get it machine it.

I had to mail my front knuckle/hub assemblies to be rebuilt by a competent mechanic. That added more weeks.

Then I broke my pinky finger hammering a new axle in towards the end.

That set me back a few more weeks lmao. But all in all it ended up being a 5 month job between work, broken finger, and other setbacks.

Man he made out like a bandit during that time. In reality it was our friendships that were profiting. He was using the beer for beer pong and fun amongst us and friends. Most nights it was me+the wife+ross & 1 more of our friends. Some nights he would have a wildcard friend of his we wouldn't know over.

Fun times for sure.
I was just thinking today about how I cannot just randomly stop at his house and just walk inside anymore.

Whenever near his home we would always swing by and just walk inside to see how our friend was doing, to ask him out to dinner, lunch, food, ice cream etc with us.

I had keys to his house and during his trips out of town we would stop by and give his cat love and attention every so often. That cat loved us.

One of his things was drinking a lot of Diet Pepsi Max. I was always telling him he would get a brain tumor if he didn't quite drinking that shit. I didn't realize how true that would end up to be. I'm not saying there is proof that stuff caused it. But I personally believe that was the source of it (personal opinion only).

He kept drinking it even through treatment. I often wonder if he was sort of feeding the cancer with all the b.s. in that stuff.

I often think about if only I could have grown a larger amount of cannabis and made Rick Simpson oils for him. If I could have helped either slow the progression. Or help enhance his medical treatments for a better outcome. In reality I was/am still getting started/dialed in. So I never made enough to truly help during his good times.

He would always pick us up & drop us off at the airport. We made sure to reciprocate the favor to him as well.

He got me a job at a handyman company he worked years back.
I'd see him come in late the day after some late nights of fun like a beer pong match lmao.

Good friend indeed.

Many great memories.

No bad memories.

The memory of this friend I will carry forever.

He was Someone I consider myself lucky to have had the experience of knowing.

He was 34 years young.

Sounds like a great friend. Its unfortunate he had to pass so young. I pray his soul is at peace and that his friends and family find peace as well. Its never easy to lose a loved one, but it sounds like you're dealing with it the best you can. Celebrate his life and cherish his memory. God bless brother

Took my harvest trimmings and already vaped bud stash.

I put everything in the magic bullet to turn it to dust. Then I dumped the plant powder in the mason jar. Rinsed the magic bullet cup out with iso then dumped into mason jar too.

Once everything was in the mason jar I filled it just enough to cover the dust + a little extra for solubility of material. Shook for maybe 30 seconds and let soak for 30 seconds more.

No point in doing a blonde wash since the vape bud would just contaminate anyways.

So once done I poured into 1 stack of 3 coffee filters then strained/squeezed by hand. Tossed strained bag.

Put the strained mixture into a small glass dish. Put that glass dish inside a small stainless steel cup. Then filled with hot water around the edges of the glass dish.

Put the cup on the stove on low.
Once everything warmed up I slowly increased the temp until the alcohol started to boil but the water didn't.

Then I let it bubble down and thicken up over an hour or so.

Once all Iso was purged turned off stove and left everything on it. That way as the stove coil+stainless steel cup+ water+ glass dish she'd their heat. The oil would continue to purge these almost microscopic bubbles of iso I could see.

So about an hour after turning the stove off and letting things cool.
I returned to scrape the dish clean.

I must say that scraping the glass dish is the worst part of it all :sleep:. Must've taken me an hour of scraping to get it clean.

It took on a shatter type consistency.
If I moved too quickly with it little shards would rip off itself. Or if moving too fast it would turn to flakes and fly. But if working slow would stick to anything lol.

It looks and smells good (unlike that resin hash oil I made).

It ought to be a doosy.

Back in Washington I use to only smoke only oil.

And smoking this stuff reminds me why.

I have much less want to cough almost not at all. And their is no residual lung discomfort.

Whereas if I hit any weed it irritates the lungs for at least 5mins.

I'm thinking of turning my whole next batch into oil. It's time for my lungs to be clear and healthy again.

I'm just not much of a fan of smoking plant matter when it's really only the oil we want.

The upside is that this stuff is potent too. I need only a small amount. And I could use it in my puffco wax/oil pen. https://www.puffco.com/

That would make it much more discreet and portable.

Alright today I decided to sow some new seeds.

I decided upon 4 of @thunderfudge 's "Jr's mix"

I am using my usual germination method.

It is a big plate on bottom paper towels on top of that. Usually I fold 2 pieces of paper towel to keep the seed wet top and bottom. This time I ripped off 3 sheets. The 2 sheets on bottom will retain extra moisture to help from drying out as quick. While the unchanged top layer keeps them wet and tucked in.

Once they are tucked in I saturate the paper towels. I make sure to wet the towels every so often to prevent them from drying out. I then use a medium plate over the paper towel plate so the humidity will rise inside along with keeping the temp consistant.

See the shadow up front between the plates. There has to be one side like that for ventilation. You don't want to suffocate the babies.

Made some more oil today.

I used 3 top cola's maybe 3-4grams (I have no scale). It was 1 top of SDXQ#1, 1 top of big bagseed #1 & 1 top of big bagseed #2.

They were all dry and cured so I put all 3 in the bullet. Turned em to dust.
then I did a first & 2nd wash. Mixed em together and ran it through the coffee filters 2x.

Then dumped iso into the bullet put the cap on and shook. Dumped in Mason jar. Rinsed the bullet once more for cleanliness then added to the jar pre coffee filter.

After filtration.

I used less heat this time then last. It was just below the alcohols boiling point. Added a fan blowing across to help evaporate the alcohol.

Once it cooked down and finished purging I let sit and cool down on the stove to slowly purge the micro bubbles left.

Once cool, all was scraped up and put on parchment Paper. Here are some pics of it in different light.

I would guess I got around a gram +/- some. Not bad for what I put in.
It is much gooey'er than last round. Maybe because my temp was lower.


But hell turned out great!

Was very smooth on the throat & lungs.
It had much thc because thc has a very specific feeling in the lungs. When taking a fat dab of high thc oil once done your lungs feel like they're closing up and squeezing together. The more thc the more intense it feels. This gave me that feeling like my lungs imploded lol. That's always a great sign.

The flowers were a little harsh on the lungs. Mostly because they were very dry & because instead of flushing them I followed a ripening chart instead to experiment. Now I know flush is better.
But once converted to oil the flavor and smoothness has returned.

Sitting here with the glow of the tents hps shining on my back. I notice the sound of the fan. I also feel a strong head high. It's got me thinking of how to describe it as I type Lol.

I'm very relaxed. Heart is not racing & no anxiety. I feel super focused. I feel energetic but also feel stuck. I'm loving how I have 3 mixed strains giving me a multi-faceted high it's great!

3/4 seeds cracked. The last one I gave a light file to the shell to give it a weak spot to break through or to let water in.

Then I planted them in their new homes.

So finally got my package picked up 3ea Apollo 4 ballast timers and my ecoplus3 rez aerator pump. Not sure whats up with the pump tho it it throwing off some bad odors in the air stream. And it a lot louder than I thought it would be. I'm sure tho a rubber mat will help with some of the vibration noise. The odor is whats pissing me off. Not sure what if any contaminates will be blowing thru my rez.

Healthy, frosty & stanky!

The bagseed trio has been showing yellowing of the fan leaves. While the SDXQ was not. This leads me to believe it's genetic, probably senescence. @jumpincactus this is what I was discussing on the phone.

The SDXQ is very nute sensitive. I've had to balance the nutes between the bagseed trio which has sucked up everything in high strength.

Another consideration is that the bagseed trio may be more of an 8 week strain while the SDXQ is a 9-10 weeker.

I've tried adjusting certain nutes but being the last 3 -4 weeks I don't want to fluctuate their feedings too much.

Any opinions guys?

Nutrients are all organic bubbled a couple days with added microbes for digestion and ph stabilization. Each feed should be fairly identical and consistant just based on the process I use.

I'm just gonna stick to the Earth Juice's charts like usual. It has steered me well so far.
