So I had some clones of Blue Cheese going . On Two clones the nodes burnt. In Pic it's the plant to the right. Plant on left is there for comparison only.
This happened due to to much heat from heating mat. When rooted I planted in 1gal pots anyway . Thinking slim chance these two make it . To my surprise it reacted like it got topped . Creating two main stems right off the bat.
So it's looking good with opportunity for some nice training.
Wondering if anyone experienced this before ? Any cons to this ? Because if not next time I cut clones , I will be doing this on purpose . Lol

I have never seen that before either...

They both look fine though. Great actually...I wouldn't worry about it.

Purposely topping with scissors is what I do.
It's more accurate and predictable than boiling the roots.
You got lucky.

Have you ever topped first node as soon as clone shows roots ? That's what happened. I'm thinking of topping right away . With scissors of course . Will do this on a few clones and compare to my normal top after 3rd node . This is what the nursery looks like now . Blue Cheese / Pineapple Express and Sage & sour
