Root Riot Cubes

Hi all,

Just a quickie,

Im about to plant a couple of seeds in root riot cubes, i have germinated the seeds using the paper towel method, tap root is already 5mm after 18 hrs,

Once I plant the seeds in the cubes do I keep them dark and warm until I can see the roots in the cubes and they break through the top or once the seeds planted do I put them straight in light?

Looking forward to hearing any advice,

Once it’s in the cube put it under light. As long as the root doesn’t get light it will be fine.

I have a couple of 5w LED lights (the extendable ones) should I put them in my grow room with just the LEDs on? (If that makes sense)

Thats a really good idea Dan, I planted the seeds earlier, havent used them b4 and was a ball ache dropping them in, cool, thanks for that

So I planted my germinated seeds on the Root Riot cubes on Tuesday afternoon,

Ive had to keep warering them as they seem to dry out soooo quickly,

Ive noticed on 2 cubes the tap root is coming through the bottom of one cube already and through the side of another (pics attached),

But nothing is showing through the top, when should I plant these? Now dya think, or wait until the head reaches through the top??
