Im trying to find 3 reflectors that will spread light good in my 4x8 tent.
I want to stick with bare bulb and my main focus is the light that is wasted going up.

Do they make 2.5 foot parabolic reflectors?

36" is the smallest I've seen. A decent hood should reflect 95% of that light back down onto plants. Parabolics are usually used to spread light farther out but with less intensity because all the light hitting your plants, first had to reflect out and down. What bulbs are you using?

Nice. Those bulbs are made to run vertically but the reflectors are like 200 bucks so I just use a bat wing. You could buy parabolic reflectors and use tin snips to cut them to size

How would a bat wing work for vertical bulbs?

And ya the actual reflectors for them are insanely sick. But the price tag. Like it makes no sense. I can get a ac hood that uses twice the material but it's still way cheaper.

I was thinking about cutting up a parabolic but will it still work as good?

Or save and get the right reflector ?

It doesn't I run my bulb horizontally because I don't want to spend $200. If I were you I'd run 4 bat wings. With that much light in a 4×8 you'll be laughing.

I feel like horizontal would not be better. Since it is in a tent I think the light will bounce being bare bulb.

Are the Philips t12 able to go horizontal?
