Great paper on the importance of the ground beneath our feet. Most people thinks its just dirt.

This is purely my theory as I've been too lazy too look it up but it makes sense to me. A happy living non filled eco system will retain water many times better than dry dead top soil. Fungi becomes like a sponge retaining the water and lowering sea levels. With NPK farming we all know you have to either rinse your soil or throw it out after awhile but organic inputs you can reuse and your soil gets better over time causing less rock slides and less floods as well as lowering water levels eventially... just my theory I probably am about the billionth person to think it lol
