Could be the Cal-Mag, or it could be the source water (if it's very alkaline, defined as resistance to pH shift, that means it's likely high in carbonates or bicarbonates--what are those molecules attached to?), if it's not the media itself. But, separating out Ca and Mg is super-easy with something like Calplex and Epsom salt (MgSO4), and both can be given via foliars so you can stop what's happening from going further while you figure out if something else has changed in the meantime.

Alright, I'm looking at an improved leaf diagnostic chart (which I will also attach, I wish I could remember exactly who did this, it is MUCH improved! except that Ca is not mobile and so should not be listed as a mobile element), and I'm still landing on Ca by appearance alone. I've done quite a few K problems, and they land solidly mid-plant. Yet, this looks nothing like a K problem I've managed to induce, both indoors or out.

Best cannabis deficiency visual chart

Are those plants growing very rapidly, and if so, do they seem to be growing more rapidly than what you're accustomed to? In the meantime, seeing those shots that show more of the whole plant.... it's looking a bit like K, but I've got to go back and do some reading again, because it doesn't resemble the K- I've experienced. Also, if they were showing some interveinal chlorosis first, then I would feel more confident in suggesting a simple Mg-. The chlorosis you show is typical of N being used up and translocated to new growth.

They seemed to start growing rapidly once I introduced nutes. But not to the point.where I'm amazed. Based on your chart you found I'm guessing it is cal def. Thanks for the help man I really appreciate it. I have.calplex in the mail should be here soon

They could probably use a larger container also. The plant is good size for what looks to be not too large a container so I assume the pants gonna use everything in that soil pretty fast or show signs of stress from being root bound Maybe ? Just a thought. Deficiencies are wicked hard for me because I feel like they all look the same. Could be calcium could be potasium could be ph. Lol. Is there any lime in the soil?

That's an improved version of the leaf deficiency chart I've been using for a few years, and I hadn't been able to find it, then I did.

The user who made it changed up the Mg-, added the Ca-. Like I said, the only thing I'd change is to move Ca issues over from the mobile nutrient listing to the immobile.

@ Nutti did just transplant them yesterday to bigger pots and then will be transplanting into 5 gallon buckets after more growth. I just started training them yesterday. And @ lex0415 I ph at 6.0 and I use my ph meter and the liquid ph test too just to make sure my meter isn't off calibration. So I have a question for seamaiden. When I do get the calplex do u think I should only use that. Or should I be using some.cal-mag and a.little calplex with it

I think 6.4-6.6 is better for FFOF, thats what your using right, FF Ocean Forest potting soil??

U think that's.better?

Fox Farm does, look at your bag of OF, it should say pH adjusted to 6.5, if not there website definitely says it.

You could try that for a week and see if the deficiencies stop spreading or makes it worst. I don't think you have anything to lose because it most likely won't make it worst.

Alright so I just got my calplex in the mail. Certain leaves have got worse. Should I chop the bad ones. Or leave them and.just add the calplex. Input needed please

That link is the best read on the net about nutrient function, deficiencies, and antagonism. What you need to realize is that it is not simply about nute levels nut about ratios. An excess of some elements will result in the locking out of others. If this is a recurring problem and you are using a complete nutrient I would look to water quality. What ppm and PH is your water? Is it from a well or the tap? Also what temp is our feed water and what is the lowest temp in your room? Temp issues can also cause lockout.

Water is r.o. store bought. I don't over nute and water temp when given is around 70. I never had this problem until moving several states away from previous grows

I moved last year and my grows in the new place have all had deficiencies, but the old grows were near perfect with green leaves thru the entire grow. Weird shit.
