I was sitting back thinking about the micro nutes that are missing from the base in Heavy 16. And I was wondering If using Canna CoCo, Heavy 16 A+B, could GH FloraMicro be added for good measure? Along with Magical, and Armor Silica from GH?

I had a couple people tell me stay away from silica in coco. But do your plants seem o need the missing the micros? Any deficiencies?

I would just use the a+b,calmag and a booster.

So even though its not a Coco specific nute, it will still have what is needed?

Basically. I use advanced nutriens 3part and calmag with a booster. As long as pH is in check the 3part and calmag will give your plants everything they need.

I kept running into wierd lock out problems when I first started running H16 with added calmg. I stopped adding calmg and things cleared up, haven't looked back. That's just my experience.

I was adding about 80-100 ppm at the time, 500 scale. It was 50/50 coco/perlite so that could change things for you, but I always preveg in 4" pots straight coco still no calmg.

I don't want to throw a wrench in your system. See how it goes, I just ended up not needing it.

From what I have read and experienced with heavy 16, is if your using tap water it may cause some issues. The line was tailored towards RO water! Cal mag is a must in if you are using RO water. But Heavy 16 has lots of calcium from what I understand, so youll have to figure out if you need to add cal/mag or just mag!

So heavy isnt good for tap?? Not using ro can't afford. .So if using tap Add Calmag or dont??? Sorta confusing. .gonna use it with no additional mag and see what i.get with tap water

Adding Calmag won't hurt, (straight from Bryce) but with H16 it's a bit of waste, even if you are using RO and Coco, like I do. Unless you have a strain that just needs the extra kick of cal mag. I have a Skywalker that every now and then shows a lil cm def so I top dress with epsom salt. If you are using Prime, there is no need to use any kind of Silica.

Not to come off as a dick, but you can afford H16 and not an RO? I don't get it, RO's can be found for cheap.

I haven't used Cal Mag in over two years, except between rounds when I treat my coco. I give the coco a dousing of calmag, cannazyme, and molasses before I replant in it. This is the ONLY time I use cal mag though.

No offense taken bro..just broke as a joke disabled vet ona virgin tight budget. And when i do have the coins i cant find a suitable ro filter in my area or online to fit my faucets. But I've been saved. Had a deer park water machine wife had in storage so that water has helped me in serious ways..but one question. ..After using the veg nutes..what's your process in switching to the bloom? And do you give your girls any dark time before the flip?? Thanks bro

I used to run veg nutes the first week of 12/12 but have since switched over to flower nutes. I also used to give them a 36hr darkness period, but I'm on a flip now and so I just go from a 18/6 to a 12/12. I honestly believe flower set has more to do with genetics and plant maturity.

With the RO you may have to do a little bit of plumbing, but it is SO worth it. I run a color changing DI after my RO, for me it's just peace of mind knowing my ppm's are gonna start of really low (0 to 15).

I'm a Vet myself, just lucky to not be disabled. Hope you have a great run!
