Mylar 7'- 8' Wide?

I've looked online, most of the time it just leads you to Amazon.com

Does anyone know where I can get sheets of Mylar that are at least 7' wide? To span from my floor to ceiling in the grow space? (It's 7' , not a typical floor to ceiling height)

Thickness doesn't matter, can be pretty thin actually. I just need it to line, or better phrased, "wrap" the med growing space.

Ive never seen mylar that wide,most of the time max 48'',maybe because of shipping?Iuse orcafilm and was surprised i could get 54'' wide.IMO if you are going to use mylar you would be just as good or better using standard flat white paint.

Orcafilm or anything would be just as good. I'm using zip walls to make the space, so some sort of plastic is needed.

Look up white visqeen plastic that's what I use comes in 1ox100 roll or less.

another option for you may be those 4 ft by 8 ft 1 inch thick sheets of white styrofoam with the foil on 1 side down at blows
easy to cut with a utility knife and tape the seams if need be

Orca would be great for zip walls,Its pricey but you literally cant tear the shit and it has the best reflectance of anything ive used.You have to really try to fuck this shit up,moving?rip it down,roll it in a ball and staple it back up at the next spot!

a relatively inexpensive alternative is to pick up a 9ft roll of tyvek at HD and cut to length using a chop saw. Roll it out backwards and all the logos and such will face reverse leaving a nice reflective white surface.

That's what I would look into. Those sheets of foam make for easy put up and tear down.

I wrapped my outdoor garden on the north and west walls with a 48" roll of Mylar and burned plants. White paint sounds real good.

Why not just buy a 10 pack of emergency mylar blankets for a few bucks from amazon, get a roll of reflective ducting aluminum tape and a can of elmers spray glue. Use the tape to connect the blankets.

I got cheap-ass emergency blankets and taped them together. But I ended up going with the Styro panels in my room, works better, no dark or hot spots, better dispersion of light.

I just ordered the white visqueen (visqeen?) That's exactly what I want, & 90% reflectivity seems pretty good, though i've never looked into how valid those claims are. Appreciate all the help. Let the thread continue though with other ideas. People are searching, if they type 8' mylar now, hopefully they will find this instead of endless Amazon links of material that is not the right width.

For what it's worth, zip walls might be more of an investment upfront, but it will be light proof pretty easily with many of the products above, & less hassle than blankets etc. You can build a 600 ft2 room in 30 minutes.

Obviously very little insulation, but I find that a plus, because, for me, it's easy to raise temps, it's hard for me to lower them, so I prefer low insulation in my spot.

Any links on a how to video of how to set up a styrofoam room?
Would you just hang the lights from the ceiling and have just 4 foam walls caulked in?

@3N1GM4 If you've ever done drywall, this stuff is a walk in the park. There's a few guys here that use it, let me see if I can dig up a thread that has it.

I would frame out the grow area as if building an additional room minus doing it to code specifically, meaning this. (locally) Code dictates exterior walls must be framed out with 2x6 at 16" on center. Interior walls framed out with 2x4 at 18" on center if a load bearing wall and 24" on center if not load bearing.

So for a grow room I would probably frame out at 24" on center with 2x4 for the walls and 2x6 for the rafters. Then I would run conduit, setting up plugs for lights, fans, (de)humidifers, ac, etc. Then just skin the walls as if you were hanging drywall, tape the seams with aluminum ducting tape and hang everything as normal. This way you can actually build out a room within a room and not fall into that category of growers that screws up rentals. If you do it right, when you tear down you'll leave no trace you were ever there and no need to paint or clean excessively as everything would have been contained in the build out.
