Closest we get to lobster here is frog legs... Lol
Had fresh off the boat tuna steaks many times, no comparison to eating store bought tuna, none at all. I also used to tend for an urchin diver for a short time, it was kinda crazy the meager set-up we had for it, I was damn good at maneuvering the boat into tight spots to pick up bags. Always had a love for the ocean. We did it all in the gulf except lobster, we just dove for those in the bay mostly. Seen some monster tuna and grouper. My favorite job was grading and prepping blue or yellowfin For sushi. Its sad when i go to a sushi place now, ive only seen true sushi grade tuna in one restaurant smh. Used to take the strips in between the vertebrae and eat it right off the fish, sweet candy meat lol

I've put a fair amount of time in when I was younger and able, it never felt a lot like work to me really, I loved it so much, other than clamming anyway, that pretty much always felt like work. lol I think that's because it is. :)Sounds like youve done your time, i miss it now that im 500miles away, its hard not to be able to jump in a boat and escape at will.
Different animal. lolPapa never was much for bearded clam.... He left that to us boys to handle...
