I'm getting clones that will surely flip into flower because they are getting 24hr light now, as I buy them. So. what can I do?

Light Cycle - interrupt the dark phase of the photoperiod

What if the darkness or light cycle is disrupted?

Darkness Cycle: Let’s say the lights were accidentally left on for a full day, then this won’t be too much of a problem. Now, if the lights are on for a few days consecutively at the beginning of the flowering period, you may notice your plant returning back to the vegetative stage. Your plants are not as damaged by too much light when they get close to being fully developed.

When the light schedule is thrown off, get it back on track quickly to avoid further problems.

Light Cycle: When the lights are off for a day or two, you will notice the buds are maturing faster and that is okay. Just turn then on again and carry on with your regular schedule until they are fully matured.

Both Cycles: So, if the light are turned on and off intermittently your buds will become scrawny and could potentially become hermaphrodites. Check out our articles on hermaphrodite plants to learn more.

If you need to, just use a timer to make sure the light schedule is constant.

So... take my 24hr clones... switch the day to be: 14 light/4 dark/2 light/4 dark?

example: all lighted, except dark from 7PM-11PM and 1AM-5AM ?

Alot of misconceptions surrounding this topic. Yes disruptions will stress your plants. But as the years go by accidents happen and with accidents come experience and knowledge.
No matter what if going outside now u do need supplemental lighting.
No getting around that.
This early in they're life will being stressed cause hermie later? Not necessarily.
So many options but some people's situations allow "better" options.Not sure of your situation.
Both answers from my friends work.Personally I'd do both.Soon as you get them to your house do what seamaiden said.quicker the better so can have as much time possible b4 going outside to let them adjust to the change in schedule.
May 20th in my area still a little early.Not sure yours but experience says don't risk it.If lighting is possible in your situation then do it.let your lights (cfl =cheap and works) shine extra 2-3 hours daily till mid june.
Not worth the risk of flowering then reverting back to revegg. The cfl are very inexpensive and allow you a guarantee of not flowering early.
With some strains (lower yieldin indica hybrids that finish quickly usually) I personally extend the vegg outdoors till late august ,Don't do it every year on all plants just depends.
Doing so gives extra vegg time,creates bigger plants,and out here in my humble opinion bud that starts flowering end of august comes out better than bud that starts at beginning of August. Seems they like the cooler weather an will finish b4 snow comes.
Again tho it comes down to situation..For some growers due to climate ,strains or 100 other reasons what I said isn't doable or practical.
Detailed information about what your situation is would definitely allow some great growers on here to give you more advice.
First step tho do what seamaiden advised asap.You'll do great and remember to put them in as big as containers possible!!! :) (especially outdoors ) Better to grow 5 plants in 20 gallons each then 20 plants in 5 gallons each trust me.

I'm in Central Oregon, I can wait until June. I'll get a second timer and go with the dark from 7PM-11PM and 1AM-5AM plan. Do I stay on that until June, or would I, after three weeks, go solid dark from 7PM-5AM ?

Right now my clones are in 2 gallon pots, going to 100 gallon cloth bags when I go outdoors. I will be using Alaska Fish emulsion until I get outdoors. Sound okay? I could go to 5 gallons now, but that's another transplant and awkward for space. THANKS!

Just interrupt the dark phase (I'm skipping over the rest of the posts). Cannabis is photoperiodic and that means that is is not the length of the daylight phase of the photoperiod, it is the length of the dark phase that triggers flowering. Interrupt it, 1-2hrs is sufficient in my experience with this, then when you want them to flower you stop the interruptions. When you do this it is advisable to do it after the summer solstice.

I'm assuming you've chosen May 20 as your put-out date because that's the last frost, yes? That's what I base my put-out dates on. In my location we're shooting for a bit early, Cinco de mayo.

Do I need 12.5 hours between dawn and sunset, then it's safe to go outside, barring frost?

I keep an eye on the weather. I keep the clones in the barn under timed lights, sheltered enough and off the ground -- and schlep them out in & out to get the sun when I can, starting around May 1st. When history and Weather Underground agree there won't be frost, I hurry to get them in the ground.

How does this work, exactly? I got my 24hr clones today. So I interrupt the dark phase tonight, no problem. My last frost date range is 11-MAY thru 20-MAY. I'll watch the forecast. Photo period for May 20th is 14.75 hours. So... How do I get from the interrupting phase to outside au natural? So to be so dense....

Re-reading... after the Solstice... I have to light my entire field for 2 hours at night from 20-MAY to 22-JUNE?

Save yourself a huge amount of frustration and hassle and find other clones or pop some seeds. You are about 3 months too late in the year to attempt this with any reasonable degree of success.

So. Force the clones into flower ASAP. Then clone the clones -- aand get a clean slate of 14 hour light from the get-go?

You can do that but if you just leave them outside without interrupting the dark phase, they'll flip into flower, then back into veg before trying to flower again. It doesn't make sense to me to do that, it makes more sense to keep them in veg until you want them to go into flower. IME, it only takes a 1hr reduction in the daylight phase to get them to start flowering.

? I'm confused by this question. Frost doesn't kill cannabis IME.

If your goal is to keep them from flowering, then you want to avoid a longer dark phase than what they've been on.

I need to drop from 24h light to 15h in 60 days. I can't figure out how to do that.

Just run an extension cord and have a light shining on it night for the first month or two to keep it from flowering. Or solar powered sidewalk lights could work if you have no electric.
