Sounds right to me from what I remember reading that mainlining thread. I might give that a try the next time I start some seeds but, that could be a while. The extra work of it would already be bad enough for me, I don't need to add to it by trying to mainline clones.

Mainlining does have more work involved during the starting weeks, but afterwards its a lot more of the sit back and watch grow.

I guess the "politically correct" wording would be "manifolding". Will try to be correct from now on. Any way they look like they have a great start and are growing that 6th set of leaves. Very soon, "training day" will start.

I got one now that was topped, fimmed, LST'd , weaved , topped AND mainlined......sounds like more than it is though.

Time for a Yooper update, so here we go. The whole garden is being trained in the manifold way. A look before they, all but one, got the unnecessary growth removed.

Manifold training has begun on all but the one that I accidently cut the growth tip off of while trimming up last time.

Growing this way, that being "manifold" training, does take a little longer in the beginning weeks. Suppose to make up for it in the later weeks, we will see. So far, so good, even with the clones. Looks like 6 of 7 will make it. Gotta check on `em as soon as the lights come on. Hard to keep the temperature where I want it when the incoming air is single digits and then warms up into the 30`s.

Sunday, April 10, Update time. The pictures are going to appear to show little growth. All but one has been topped again, along with removal of any growth at that node and below. Let`s take a look and see what we have.

Nutes used are Cogo`s and Big O.
Schedule is : Cogo`s every watering (almost)
....................Big O once a week to 10 days (no Cogo)
....................Water once in a while.

I like the manifold training you got going on. It is looking great, nice work!

After the small initial investment in training for the manifold.
All the new main cola's will repay you in the end with some strong growth and great smoke I'm sure.

How many cola's per plant are you aiming for?

Thanks for good words and the encouragement. It does take a little more time doing it this way. Trying for 8 cola`s per plant.
