Hi Dan,I'm uk based too.do a lot of soil experimenting with soil.if I were you,id start off on ebay.get canna professional.not the professional plus soil.you can pick 50litre up for £10.then get yourself some earth worm castings. I pay £14 for 40litre.after your first run,you can mix your old soil with a bag of new soil and some worm casts.seems to work better second time round.I've tried out a few cheapo soils.there's one at wilkos I use to veg in and mix with old stuff.its called sowing mix.its only about two quid for ten or twenty litre.but id definitely get a good one to start.are you planning on using bottled neuts?good luck bro,pm me if you ever need help. no probs bro,just fetch a bag myself.get perlite from wilkos too.mix in about a quarter bag into the soil.
For starting in,not a lot of ferts in it.dont feed until it looks ready I.e. Is this soil.good for autoflowering plants
its good as cheap ass peat gets.you've got some good organic bottled neuts,so this is the best route.it'll keep her happy for 2-3 weeks...ish.a lot of other diy store soil,has so much feed in it,probably fry your cash crop.also they like to chuck them water retention crystals in it.this is shite.we add perlite to airate and easily drain.we don't want water hanging around for days n days.
Bit less than that.30,70 personally.I do it to eye.feel the soil.you want it nice en loose.but not too much.i usually cut the bag of soil open.mix it up with me hands.then pour out a couple of jug fills of perlite on top.mix it all in by hand.if you need more adjust it don't go to mad with it.
I usually try to keep it below 80",and quite humid.thenin flower a bit cooler ad cut the humidity down to about 50./.H. I'm not a stickler for exact heats to be honest.I blow outside air in,and suck air bk out opposite at the top.temps have mostly looked after them selves.
Yip.im in Scotland and i dont have a hydro store close by.i used to use levington (black and red bag i beleive) & iv even used miracle grow but then i started ordering good soil and while its three times as expensive i feel more comfortable useing the good stuff.it definetly gave me healthier plants and kept em healthy longer without having to feed em.
were in Scotland you guys?I got family in Glasgow,Easter house...I'm in the midlands..good on line peeps will tell you how they package it.
