also the state consides it dried an smokeable after 5 days from chop. Lmao...... dicksI hear ya. I don't like the commercial side either. Too many Johnny-Come-Lately's swinging their pissy little 20-something year old dicks and thinking they've created/stumbled upon something new no one ever knew about before....heehee.
YAWN.
Yeah..it's true. The OD is only once a year...unless you light dep it. For me...I welcome that once a year thing with open arms...after 25+ years of keeping a perpetual garden indoors...I need a fookin break. LOL. (started growing indoors in '91...) This one go will net me as much pot as growing all year indoors would. (and I still have a dozen reflectors/ballasts if I need to reboot the indoor)
Dunno how others do it. I do know there are a lot of OD gardens here now tho. My neighbor has 75 goin that look like that first pic of mine.... Another guy here on the Farm seems to have a very large plot as well... I know of 3- 30 x 60 GH's near here that are packed full as well. You can see em from the road...LOL.
FWIW....The fencing around the plot is for the deer. The fencing up/over the plants are for hail. I got wiped out of 12 of 25 plants last year....so am trying to fool Mother Nature this go around...
the last pic is overrage that I planted in the native soil to see what they'd do. Talk about organic....LOL. you can't get much more organic than sandy loam mixed with eons of forest mulch...
Sorry greenhouser..just had to chime in. (and FYI...we can keep EVERYTHING we grow...NO WEIGHT LIMIT.
Yes..it sucks... nothing like where you guys are at....LOL.
it's always funny to me how the figures come in to play, i don't an never think bout it that way. I dry it an store it so I don't have to buy it, an can smoke when I want knowing where it came from. Them my goals. I'm sick of buyinggiggles yeah push that shit out the door fast, like whats that $400 every 8 days?
I can't attach or put close to house, my fun governor doesn't allow that, I know it's gonna be tough, an ill keep thinkin.OK....back to your thread, greenhouser....
I love yer drive/passion. Like others...I don't wanna rain on yer parade....but keeping the hoop house going all winter is gonna be a seriously challenging task.
Question: Does the rear of your home get as much sun as the location the HH is presently located in?
Why I ask...is because a stand alone structure without much MASS is gonna be very hard to heat/regulate temps.
IF you get sun on the back of your home....a worthy idea, IMO...would be to move the HH and attach it to the house. Place it where there's a window.... and to heat it...merely place a fan in that window blowing heat from the house out into the GH. This will offer not only HEAT.... but it will positively charge the structure so the warm air is escaping OUT....rather than the cold air pushing IN. I did something similar for years with my tomatoes....first in a plastic/stapled up affair draping off the side ofm the house...and later...in a small poly-carb structure I built for both tomatoes and weed. I never tried running it ALL Winter cus my plants would finish...but I ran it well into December with temps down to 0F. (it would maintain 45-50 temps)
I have a 26 foot "dome" greenhouse that has 15 yards of soil in the beds and a 1250 gallon pond in it...and even with that amount of mass/space it can freeze in there when it gets super cold (the structure stays 20-30 degrees warmer than the OD temps without any heat....so less than 10 degrees outside is when it gets dicey) FWIW...to fight all of that..I'm putting a wood stove in this Fall....
Not sure if a compost pile will actually offer much heat by the time it travels through the tube....and then there's the moisture/humidity to consider as well. Condensation is a huge thing... frozen condensation is another. I've had it RAIN in my dome..prior to installing a big de-huey....
just a few thoughts from one of them fakers! Heehee........
Nope, concentrates are illegal..... Can only use whole plant material. WTF LOL what they don't know, won't hurt em. :DI am unable to have patients do to laws. Sux I no. So I guess i could make 2.5 ounces of bho habha ha
Very same goal my wife and I have. I've had good harvests and I've had bad seasons. My grandma used to preserve everything from the garden because she never knew when hard times might hit.it's always funny to me how the figures come in to play, i don't an never think bout it that way. I dry it an store it so I don't have to buy it, an can smoke when I want knowing where it came from. Them my goals. I'm sick of buying
there's 2 big blocks in it, takes 1 1/2 hours to fill tanks. I don't talk much to this guy, he don't talk to me. I jus fix it. This guy is a silver spoon cat that is a shit talkin ass hole. We exchanged words one time, an only one time. He was over my shoulder explaining what he wanted done. After 10 minutes I had enough, turned around an set my tool bag at his feet an handed him my towel. Told him it was time for two vacation days. I'm the only one who can fix it or works on things like this for a LONG DISTANCE. So needless to say his boat took four days instead of two an now he drops it off an leaves LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
Beautiful! Now, now...I'm seriously gonna have to chime in and call foul....yer wet blanket is getting a bit too fuckin big for your own good here..... "Organix"...you know. Colorado? LOL...you have much to learn, it seems. Have you been here/grown here extensively.....or are you just repeating what you've heard from other uninformed sources? Not harshin on ya...just kinda wondering HOW you know so much (more than I do...LOL) about growing and the beauty of my state?
Here's how we "fake it" in CO in the "too dry" climate...(in an incredibly beautiful setting)....LOFL/LMFAO....
Very same situation between my husband and I screw buying it when u can legally grow itVery same goal my wife and I have. I've had good harvests and I've had bad seasons. My grandma used to preserve everything from the garden because she never knew when hard times might hit.
I don't ever wanna buy dispensary weed again!

like I said, i dont do stores :-) the world is money mate, no money no life, free life is outlawed in the USA, just as it is here and everywhere and I am ready for revolution, but people wont come, they are too busy playing online games and searching for pokemon in downtown parks.. I like 3rd world countries to go about day to day, but i hate the lack of medicine and urgency when things go wrong. now if we could just take the knowledge, and not the ideology of neo feudalism, then we might just have the perfect nation for people like you and me bro.it's always funny to me how the figures come in to play, i don't an never think bout it that way. no one was chiming on people who are doing it gently, we had actually been discussing how money in the business is causing problems in quality, both in data and in product. How the Hydro boys are trying to shoulder out organics like yours at cups and by offering pony labels and prizes for being the biggest wallet on the block, but that this then gets published in to the public domain as if this is cannabis, eg edibles with no content, extracts whose labels are so far from accurate as to be fraud. Its these people that feed abermectin to the public mate and its these people we rally on here, not you. if i generalise, this is because those who know me know I am not talking about a whole county and everyone, people are a little too sensitive may be?I hear ya. yo hes got to sit somewhere or the engine is for shitI jusfix insides an outside, nothing mechanical, all body
yeah standard mail system then LOL its the same here bro, the bottles we have lostThe post sucks... theres a good chance you lose your product in our mail system.
yeah that sux in light of the potential for outdoor meds to really help both supply levels and cost to produce and so cost to consume.Typically scarcity mythology played out, just like oil and gas and meds and food and..... Outdoor growers, who chose gentle forms of land management are the best kind, this is not in question I feel. The rest of us cant and will likely never be sustainable unless governments have a lobotomy and get energy from more rounded locations. And for people growing outside, once a year harvest...

Sorry if my passion for clean natural meds over takes my brain at times, but there is a problem in places like Co in particular, who is winning the cups, who is stocking the dispensaries, people who care about the plant like you, or people that like money and thats that?
According to LARA in MI only the whole flower is allowed. There must be plant material in anything consumed. Fkers, I say make butter and leave a few flakes of leaf in there.isn't it kind of a gray area? I mean some dispensaries have, others no.
exactly, it's crazy, an all worded funny an I can't halfway understand other than u wont find me with more than that lol. WinkAccording to LARA in MI only the whole flower is allowed. Of course, according to them dispensaries are also illegal. LMFAO
