The ac is just from a vent in the room. He has ducting stuck in the vent and it running to the tent. Not a dedicated unit

ah ok....so maybe he should see about getting into the actual ac vent and tapping into it with a y adapter ....so it would be kinda dedicated

so I would suggest he get an adapter and take off the grill...just 2 screws and hook the adapter to the ac.....sell them at HD or Lowes...not y adapter but what will go on that ac it is a box down to 6"
then run the ac through a higher port in the tent as if there may be one on the other side
so as hot air rises and cold air drop...as the ac drops through the tent it will heat up and rise againand out the carbon filter

That's my buddy who couldn't keep a house plant alive 1 year ago. Lol it all started from a bag seed he found lol. And now he's harvesting 400+ gram autos. So rewarding to teach someone like that. So proud of him and myself for teaching.

Yea I shoulda told him to put it at the top and let fall to the bottom. While sucking out the cool tube. Would you put ducting on the cooltube on the intake side and routed to top of tent to remove the air from the top? Never mind he already has the filter at top of tent.

well I dont really know in thos case
kinda complicated
I would actually try to create a more sealed enviroment inside the tent
seperate the cooltube from the growing enviroment
I would then pump the ac in and get a carbon filter with seperate fan....just a 4" and sit it in the corner to scrub the air....

I will draw a picture for you and post it

Dude... you're the shit. He don't need the room cooled too does he? Nothing is in there but the grow. Would you recommend cooling the room to?

well I put the y in there because if he seperates the cooltube so that the air passing through if from outside the tent...you want that air to be about the same as the temp in the tent.....
so the ac will dump cool air near the opening for the cooltube and be sucked in by the fan and pushed through the cooltube and out the tent...the other part of the Y takes the ac and runs it into the tent to keep the air cool in there...

so both the room and the inside of the tent will remain ambient = to each other...while running the exit exhaust from the cooltube out like he has
