Nah you put a torch to it till it glows then count down. Up to 30sec, I don't usually count cause I've hit it so much I just kinda know. The longer you wait .The better the taste, but imo the it's less intense of a high at lower temps.

I dont buy into the whole " plants only need certain wavelengths" however....say the Hortilux power veg....is basically a full spectrum bulb that will give the plant everything it needs with only a slight bump in the blue....for tighter node spacing....to me...plants need all spectrum including uv and ir....as well as low and high freq radio waves...to get full potential

among other things.....we (humans) dont really know because we havnt really done much in the way of studying cannabis and light....but......I can say this much.....my outdoor has always been way stronger than my indoor....I believe the plant absorbs alot more then we understand...as well as it uses and interacts with much more than we can see

My thoughts exactly. We don't know what all plays into mother natures plan. But I have learned this. When you look at big things, solar system, universe, things on a cosmic level, you can see a relationship to the interactions compared on a nano level. When I think about plants, and horticulture in general, I always flash back to biology, and the human anatomy, and how are system works.
I used to lift weights, and I spent a lot of money on protein powders, creatine, amino acids, testosterone booster, etc... And low and behold, I gained more muscle mass than my buddies who didn't take anything but protein. Now I had a daily schedule as to when I worked out, exactly when I used what nutes, was the nutes for energy, recovery/replenishing... You know ppl that work out think that you shouldn't never eat junk food... I call bullshit! Mater fact when you eat sugar laced products, it spikes your insulin level and at that exact time, your muscles will pull that sugar to keep you from going hypoglycemic, and If them proteins are present at that exact time, for a short period, proteins get a Presidential escort on the autobahn , along with any other amino acids, etc that you need to get in there. The human stomach really does a poor job of converting proteins that are usable and can be delivered to their target area.. Sorry I digress..
Plants have got to be the same way! Certain times are better for uptake of nutes. Photosynthesis requires plants to use energy, energy causes heat, and heat slows everything down.
Roots, got to be the most important part of the plant... Really? What do they do? Well they allow the plant to uptake water/feed. And they hold up the plant.
Well we know we can figure out other ways to hold up the plant.. So its all about water/feed... Is there not a better way to help the plants uptake feed/water?

Has anybody ever tried hitting a mj plant with about 25cc of Cocaine straight in the main line?

We put the plant on life support. We run an iv drip, with our ec solution, to every branch just slightly up from the node. We wrap gently all the way around the plant like a string of Christmas lights, clear hose that releases Co2. With the iv solution, we can program it to one drop per hr, each branch would receive at the bottom of that branch, which in turn would travel all the way up the branch... Lots of possibilities... no loss of nutes. Fking bottle of nutes would last you forever.. I know, I know,,,,,

but they never envisioned flying, submarines that can go 20 yrs without refueling, and no one thought Autos was possible, with good yield, flavor, and potency. But what do we do, we dream, we build, we overcome, we adapt we learn, and we do the unthinkable....

I know I am stoned... And I get to daydreaming.. If I got paid to daydream, I would be rich.. Damn science shows after 15 years have made me ask question and seek answers.

But steroids work, yes they can have side effects, but they work for the most part. I don't see it out of the realm of possibilities. Maybe out of our grasp, but somebody has the ability to study, and I can't accept that we know everything about horticulture. There is room for new ideas, and personal mj growers could lead to the next new technology in horticulture that brings better techniques to water starved countries for agriculture. Pakistan, and India have been fighting over a huge river that flows thru both countries, and one built a aqueduct upstream that decreased water flow downstream. They have had troops on the border for sometime over the issue..
So the only limits we have,,, are the limits we put on ourselves... Sorry I went way off target...

On a different note.... I don't know if the pictures do it justice, but this stalk looks like a beast. Its way bigger than a pencil, and the plant is only 6" tall! I got to say ,,
