dont get to caught up on the old VPD
reading and following the charts .......to me......is a waste of time
VPD holds true for all plants but the charts written are for leafy greens (salad)
I just use observation
if my leaves are standing tall then I am in range and take note of all RH/Temp/Media Moisture
when the droop....I take note of that to
So I know what range to be in.....

but to me those charts are full of shit
take my Afghani plants....if you go to the weather chanel and look at the parameters in the area while they would be vegging or flowering....it is like 90f and 40% RH with little to no water
how do they survive?.....how do they grow?

for my GSC cut
it is a hybrid....created in a controled enviroment
so parameters would be standard....72 degrees 55-65 RH
and the plant does well
I do believe that transperaration and stomatitis being opened so it can release h20 and uptake c02 can be fundamental.

Here is the problem Wish. . There has to be something going on because I see a lot of people having issues and plants looking sickly when it seems the only problem may be a Temps and humidity. I mean why did I not experience those problems? Cause my account I figured. There just can't be that many people in the world incapable of getting a plant to harvest. I mean you guys give every bit of info even the laziest person could follow. ... So it has to be temp and humidity. There can't be that many stupid ppl in the world ....
Either way moving to the basement with different conditions has me thinking about everything. I actually bought a tent for $45 that is 3x3x63 for veg. Cheaper and easier. I might have to move my operation out to the garage for the month of dec... Family will probably be in town. The photo we are getting ready to flower will be done by Christmas...

so what you will do is.....put her in and run veg under the net for about 1 week....spread her out under the net and during that week....tuck and weave her through the net
continue till about 2 weeks into flower....giving you a total of 3 weeks scrogging.....then leave her alone
Deal!!! That's the plan... I am so excited!

you seedlmgs and cuttings are lookin fantastic
good job
Thanks.. they all have awesome roots. I am really happy with them... Sat 4 of them will go in the rdwc and the rest in coco/pera and in the tray next to the clones...

Starting today just topping off with ro... She is really green so she has a lot to give...

Sry I messed up that message. I meant I didn't figure I had them problems because I ran ac all summer and it's still going full blast..

But then again Wish I shouldn't say that because a lot of problems come from over and under watering which would have a direct correlation to the rh and temp and light intensity.. So maybe your right in the fact that VPD doesn't cover every different situation. That's where using it loosely in conjunction with other information can help you maybe have a better idea of what your plants are doing or what they are not. There is so many different things plants say in there posture, color, shape... I'm trying to learn this. Sometimes I probably look stupider than my dog when I'm trying to teach him to fetch...

what I was trying to say is that the VPD chart was created for leafy veg not cannabis

for my VPD observations
not only are the RH and Temp crucial but the media moisture level as well

you can keep the VPD at maximum by regulating the moisture intake by the roots....with RH and temp ( how fast the plant is transpiring)
the charts dont help because they make no sense
90 degrees/80% rh
nowhere do cannabis plants grow in that enviroment
more like 90 degrees/45% RH with a windshield factor
and remedial water supply

hardly seems like the type of enviroment plants can grow robust

but they do

so matching intake with exhaust kinda like a car
not only keeps the plant in tip top shape
but speeds up the growth process

in my observation

You know if we were stranded on Gilligan's Island you definitely would of been the professor. . Sadly enough that probably makes me Gilligan. ...

hahahahaah maybe

you just get used to seeing the plants and them telling you what is going on.....once you speak their language.....it becomes alot easier
all the debates on the net in these forums....are usually between someone who knows....and one who does not want to believe the truth....but rather anecdotal rhetoric.....In my experience

@Wisher619
So how is the girls looking?

they look awesome...
thanks
those damn GG4's are slow as hell
they are like 2 weeks behind the others and they are the same age
I can see in the hole in the bottom of the cup....the GG's have massive roots....just no top growth
kinda irritating
I planted these all at the same time so they could be the same progression with topping and canopy.....

I understand.

I finally got me a big fat as cola to be proud of... It's bigger around than a baseball and hard as a rock...
