I got something like .06 rain. enough to soak everything.
i have a leaf blower but the sun is startiong to start and perhapse wind to dry.

I NEVER get bud rot, my friends said dont worry its just a little and will dry.

The hard thick buds I do ahve are 4 days out from cutting.

Depends where you are and the humidity there. In Florida this will sometimes cause bud rot up here in Co it seems they dont worry much about it. Because its dry.

every one I know is doing nothing. Some are 40 foot around and 8 foot tall. So its almost hopeless to blow dry them all before a second rain comes.

chasing ghosts.

becides a little rain on and off for two days no big deal.

My bud rot strategy. Toss in twister, dry fast in dry rack, toss moldy bud on ground and step on it so its flat.

works usually!

just a news flash, all 3 of my friends all leaf blowered just now to get the water off the buds for the most part, for what you can do any way. then it started up again! take a lunch then blow more!

I check the weather reports. And monitor the rain. I've also had thoughts of putting a tarp over my garden.

@Seamaiden isn't isopropyl a solvent, pretty sure that would dissolve this man's tricomes with ease. Right?? That's not what we're going for I would assume?

we leaf blowered twice, it sucked. the buds got soaked then we lucked out with pretty good winds to dry it out.

As is pure water. It evaporates far too quickly to have much, if any effect on the trichomes. It'll also keep things a little cleaner in my experience.

water is a solvent, but not for oil which is what a tricome is comprised of. you literally couldnt dissolve thc in water if you had a million years, thats how ice water extractions work. i would be curious to see what buds sprayed with iso look like under a microscope. 30 second iso washes sure produce a result for making hash. also alcohol doesnt speed the evaporation of water, so.

Rain sucks.. Everyone is dealing with it.. If you had strains that you were gonna harvest in 4 days then I would go ahead and harvest them.. If things are a week out or so then let them ride..

just what im doing, took me 2 days to decide. by then in a week the rest will be up.
I have a tandem twister so its going to go uber dry fast right into a dry room @42% humidity 73F.

I personalty don't believe that it will make a difference, or if possible!

This is how im going to eliminate all mold, taking it all down in a week.

It makes a big difference and is one of the main reasons outdoor does not have 'the look' of greenhouse or indoor. When the buds get weathered, quality suffers. Though if you are going to just run it through a twister and beat the crap out of it anyway, then it won't matter.

thats all bs unles you have done side by side lab tests and microscope imaging (twister vs hands)
rain and cold makes it darker sure but twisters and water are for sure way less finger smashing on buds.

Yeah, weather report only 1 day of light rain. I'm going to tough it out for a couple more days. By that time, the pulls in the dry room should be ready to trim and cure. I'm staggering my harvest this season. I'm trying to get the timing down just right.

We have. Twister = low quality crap product every time. Try vending that junk to a dispensary, or entering it into a contest and see how far you get.

If your buds come out worse with a hand trim and/or going through a rain than they do with a machine and/or in a greenhouse or under covers, you have some seriously incompetent trimmers and extremely poor harvesting and cultivation practices.
