Hey everyone. Is anyone using any of the new phone or tablet app wifi room controllers? If so which brand. I have been looking at the smartbee and hydropod ones. When it comes to technology and gadgets I am a total nerd for that stuff... just wanted to get some feedback

I'd like to buy one after next harvest myself. Does every device plug into it? Like CO2 burner, dehumidifier, A/C, etc.

Sales rep or not, look up Olyvers work. Dude has some of the best and most sophisticated electrical panels and lighting controllers that employ the newest technologies that I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't rep for a company that isn't good. I have seen his work in person.

Didn't say the other brand is crap, said "forget them", iPonic is a better unit IMHO, the price I quoted was in CAN funds. Thanx ShirDabzAlot.

+1 for my iponic 614, although I did get a lemon right off the bat. Took link4 about 2 weeks to get me a replacement but they took care of me. they've also been great about calling back same day with tech support, and great directions with pictures. Thing is fully customizable and all around badass.

Bumping an old thread here I know. I have an iPonic 624 or whatever the two room controller is. It's freaking great and I love it, minus some minimal issues with alerts that I hope to have resolved come Monday after speaking to a support person.

The smartbee waters for you though, doesn't it? I was not aware that iPonic even measured anything in the soil, am I missing something. With the technology out there these days I would think we would have a wireless soil hygrometer device that talks to a controller that in turn does the watering for you based on what set points you set the hygrometer or controller to. It would be really nice for me to go away for a few days and have this device or technology take over for me hand watering!

iPonic rocks! Many more of the crew here jumping on board now that they've seen what it does for me!

I thought i read somewhere that they were having problems with the cloud and iponic? Is that been fixed then?

It has for the past month for sure. I'm very impressed with the cloud feature and the unit itself. Like I said the only issue i've had is that it's giving an alert email/sms when I've set the alert to not trgger an alarm on room 1. It's minor for all the benefits i've seen from this unit. it's also very nice to see where things are at in real time from the cloud and to see the graphing of the data collection!

Don't use the Cloud option for any of the environmental controllers, you don't need to log into someone else's server to store or view the data logged. You can setup your own computer to do that. Iponic was having issues with their server crashing. If you want an environmental controller to be only accessible by you only, send me a PM.

I am pretty happy with with sensorpush. $50 gets you a bluetooth sensor & phone app that is a data logger for temp/hum. Nice graphs, very sensitive. Shows a temp change on the graph when I open the door. Bluetooth range is good for around the house. Will store data for 20 days to an exportable csv file.
For $150 more you can get a gateway base-station. Get updates and alerts anywhere you get phone signal. Can easily add more sensors after that. Dont know the if their is a limit. Would love to see a CO2 sensor. So for $250 you can get constant updates to a (newish) phone anywhere you are for veg and flower rooms. Get to set text alerts for each sensor high/low temp&hum. I tied my sensorpush to my room controller sensor so they read the same. The room control sensor is set to match leaf temp with an IR temp gun.
