Mate i only bought pineapple chunck an triple cheese but they ran out of triple cheese so i had to pick something else so i got northern high lights, i wish to god i never picked the pineapple chunck all 3 are proper bitchty an im not liking the northern high lights strain either,there funny as well,the rest were freebies

I sort some out in a bit for you me light is off at the moment,

Here's some pictures as promised, see what im on about with the 3 that stretched to a stupid height 2 of them are pineapple chunck an the other cookies kush, 1 of those pineapple chuncks is still strechting, i have had to move them all round tonight cause there was in the hps shade.

The pineapple chunk I got was shite too don't sweat it now just learn and don't buy barneys again the chances of finding a decent pheno in there gear is slim at best

You're not wrong, i never even bothered taking any cuttings off,a mate of mine has had a few cuttings off them all,if there is any decent phenos in there i can soon get a few cuttings back,i DEFINITELY don't wanna have any of those 3 lanky things back,i only like the look of the lsd an tangerine dream.

some people use vac chambers i just use patience and a toothpick:D hot, cold, hot, cold, stir, stir, hot, cold, until its firm and crystal clear... mine is always spot on but i only do small amounts at a time.. loss of stuff in the net about making extracts.. learnt from the father inlaw who'd been making it for about 30 years.. he didn't have any fancy gear..:D:eyepiece:

would keeping pots on a heat mat promote root growth its not especially cold in my room just wondering if keeping medium temps consistently warmer would be beneficial... this is for coco 60/40 not soil which is why I'm asking...:)

I use a heat mat but only when there young just to keep the roots warm,i don't have them sitting directly on top of the heat mat,i have them about half inch above it,i use match boxes or something a similar height, even pop bottle tops,just put a few round the outside of your pots so the bottom of your pots can get clear heat,they dry out fast if there just plonked on top of the mat

Why im signed in,i just wanna ask you uk growers a quick question, how far are you keeping your 400w - 600w hps lights or light off the top of your canopy an how dense are your final buds,the reason why i ask is,i used to use a 400w hps an tryed to keep the light around a 1ft off the the canopy the buds were all ways soild dense flowers now i use a 600w i try an do the same with a good airflow moving over the buld,i just think i might be a bit close,recently 3 of my girls grew right in to the shade of the light,they were ok but i never want them that close again, im struggling with the canopy cause like a tit thought I'd do a few strains an they all different heights,they doing me head all the arseing round moving them about, never again will i do this many different strains.... Live an learn init

A lot depends on reflector used tbh a good rule of thumb is 6" per 200w so 400w would be 12" 600w would be 18" and 1000w aroumd the 24" mark like I said though this is a guide and can vary

an even canopy is a must, multi strain grows are a pain in the arse saying that i have 4 strains in this grow lol

1 way to know for sure and to get rid of hot spots in larger rooms is getting a cheap light meter off ebay I got 1 for £5 last 1 I got and paid for its self the second I switched it on hope this helps mate

Yeah, like manc says, about 18" for a 600 seems best, any closer and direct light can be a bit much for most plants. Most of the time I find myself putting my plants all around the edges of my reflector.
