So part of recycled organic living soil (ROLS). Is incorporating it into your life.

I have been saving food scraps and blending them up daily to be added to my ROLS. It is kinda nice knowing if my food goes bad it's not going to waste. It is paid for and is going into my soil. To be reused.

Today there was a lot. Leftover lemon rinds, asparagus, about a pound of kale gone bad, garlic chunks, egg shells, moldy mozarella cheese, banana peels etc.

I blended it all up. There was about .75gal total when all said and done.
The liquid looked and smelled potent.

I dumped it in my ROLS. And mixed each tote thoroughly by hand. I made sure to break up big clumps by hand so the deposits wouldn't be concentrated in places.

I then added some fresh mychorizae and biozeus microbes to each tote. Worked it all in thoroughly.

I then mixed each tote together and in between before evening them out again.

Then I left the lids off. Because the soil is pretty moist now and needs to dry out a little. They're still drying now. top 1/16" of soil is dry but I'm sure what's beneath is very wet.

Feels good putting my food scraps, and spoiled food to good use. Once I have a food garden they will be healthy plants.

I love organic gardening :)

Today I decided I only wanted 1 clone.
And it was the only clone that had rooted so far (#2).
So I scrapped all the others.

Here is its root shot in the 4" pot.
20161223 060456

Here is it after transplant into the next size pot. Last one standing.
20161223 060402

The benefit of having a 12 bulb fixture. Is that it gives me greater options as to which bulbs I want on and off. Here are the options I have chosen. The center 4 to give highest density light to the canopy below (they are the closest bulbs in terms of distance from canopy. And the outer 4 to give good side lighting. This side lighting will help the shoots under the fan leaves grow in.
20161223 060200

My plan is to let this clone fill out its pot. Then it will be transplanted into the 15 gallon pot I cut down to 5" high (5 gal equivalent now). Here the clone sits inside that big pot.
20161223 062217

And trained into a low flat giant bush in preparation for when current flowering round was done.

Worst case scenario is that the main flower chamber won't be open in time before the #2 clone outgrows the limited height lower chamber. What I would then do is try to plan ahead. I would train it well and leave a buffer for stretch. Then flower it in the lower chamber under all 12 bulbs (6k lumens per cu ft).

Best case scenario. Upper chamber finishes in time. Then I transplant into the bigger pot. And flower out another giant after some veg time. Maybe I could get some perpetual giants going with some small bushes in the micro tent here and there.

I think my next 3 harvests will be awesome.

I just have to make sure and stagger each a few weeks apart. That way each set of ladies will have personal hang drying time in the main chamber.

So now that I have 4 more days until the flower chamber is open.

That means 4 days until my #2 gets transplanted from the 3 gallon pot in the micro tent. To the 10 gallon pot in the main chamber. It will take a good bit of time to finish the veg on that monster.

So that will buy me time to plant 4 new seeds.
I can fit 4 1 gallon pots around the perimeter of the large pot. Meaning I can grow 4 single stem plants occupying the 4 corners. I would train them tall on a single stem. Then once at where I think canopy height of the beast is. I would top them there to maximize flowering up in the canopy.

So I believe if I start these seeds tonight I'll have time for them to get past seedling stage and be ready for the upper chamber before the beast is ready.

Here is the lineup. All fems to ensure a full tent no hassles.
20161223 070306

Here are them on their clearly labeled paper towels.
20161223 070128

Here is them after top layer paper towel covered them and I folded the edges under.
20161223 070152

Once done I covered with a second plate like usual to help keep the from drying out.

Wow guys it seems like I'm on a one shot kill kind of setup this round. Been planning for all 3 tents to be occupied with flowering plants. But I will have nowhere to clone.

I'm sure when it comes down to it. I'll find a way to clone thunderfudge's #2 plant. It's got beast in its blood.

I have been pondering lately how to elevate the carbon filter in my mini tent so I can draw more of the heat higher up in the tent.

I finally found a way.

Now if you look closely there is clearance for a 2nd 3 gallon pot.
Whereas before it could fit (1) 3 gal & (1) 2 gal.

Here is a shot from another angle showing all the room freed up.

So in the future. Next time I plan to flower in my micro tent.
I'll be stuffing (2) 3 gal pots in there.

Turn the filter so the duct goes straight up secure it nice and tight and put the fan on th outside supporting the filter just make sure u get them clips nice and tight and u will be able to do away with them straps

Also this isn't guess work bro I've done this with much bigger filters than this 1 it will defo hold the weight

I couldn't get any more height out of it turning it sideways. There wouldn't be enough room for the 90° bend between the roof. The light fixture is 3 tall so what you see is as good as it gets.

What do you mean fan on the outside? My fan is outside.

I'm not sure what to make of this lol.

If you think the exhaust vent is in the roof it is not. It is at the top but on the right side wall.

So I can't let the filter hang by the ducting while connecting straight to the fan outside the tent above it. I had to support it. Run the duct up above the light fixture and out the side. Then up to the fan mounted on the ceiling.

I don't know how else to explain it I guess I'm guna have to show u and that filter looks fatter than it is deep so turning it the other way would be giving less drag with less bends. What's the measurement of the diameter against the measurement of the depth and also doing this way that strap is absolutely unnecessary the fixings will hold the weight as I explained earlier hope this helps Bro

LOL. If I turn the filter it turns it into a 90° bend vs a nice gradual bend the way it is.

Top right is my exhaust vent.
And that top bar is my strap anchor.

Getting my filter where it is actually straightened the hose more.
It had a 90° in it.

This would be most ideal placement.
But I lose 5" of vertical height from the light fixture to the roof.

Those don't look like "bad hair day" beans to me :eyepiece:

That's because I'm not dedicating about entire grow for them. They are last minute additions that aren't gonna reach their full potential.

I needed to guarantee they would be ladies.

I'm still gonna pop those beans, I just gotta finish going through the 3 tent worth of ladies forst.

Lol I see now :) my bad

Maybe get single tube lights so u don't have to position that big hood gimme a min I will show u the 1s I use
These are the 1s I use they daisy chain together so more can be added as foliage gets bigger

If I got 8 of those it'd cost $200 and they'd occupy more space the the fixture I have.
My fixture was 79.99

Yeah I figured as much.

After I read what you said I realized the picture could be a little misleading as to what is possible.

Right now that duct is like the carbon filters hinge.
I swung it out to the left then held it in place with the strap. Seems to stay in place well. And reducing that 90° bend to a gradual radius-ed bend helped increase the airflow of the inline fan.

The area u have for the mini tent is it height or Base area u are restricted or both I've just bought 2 small tents for props they hold 4 large props in each 1 if lay flat or stood up I'm guna use for iso chamber for males stood up they measure 75cm x 75cm Base and 130cm tall from the look of the mini tents u have there they are a 60cm cube I've got 4 of those and replaced with 2 of the slightly larger 1s

The tent is listed as a 24"W×18L"×24T.
But the actual outside dimensions were 24"W×16"L×24"T.

With the 8 bulb t5 ho fixture it takes up 4" of vertical height and 12"W×23"L.
20161223 232635

The carbon filter is 4" flange ×8 wide. If if we're standing vertical that is 6.5"T
20161223 232501

The actual floor space inside the tent between the structure is 23W"×15"L. And I have 18" of total vertical height from the ground to the t5 fixture.

The next tent sizes were too big for my closet. And too big to focus my t5 ho 8 bulb fixture. So this micro is perfect for my space. Exactly what I wanted.
