This is why i ask, i like hearing your thoughts.
Imho a plant needs to be ran a couple of times before u can truly select ime in grooms I've had the same clone in the same room turn out so diffrent it's made me question if it's even been the same clone in the 1st place it all comes down to position things like rh and temp can be very diffrent from 1 side of the room to the other is what I've put it down too maybe any 1 else's thoughts would be good I don't belive for 1 second that's there isn't any breeders reading this that could contribute :)

My experience with making seeds is pollen chuckin. My most recent journey pollinating is as follows.
3,000 of 5,000 pollenchucked bag seeds were grown outside, over 1,000 males were culled and a high estimate of 100+ hermies were culled, I cloned 24 phenos from that outdoor crop and grew them indoor...of those selected from outdoor crop 10 were phenomenal outside but grown inside all 24 phenos were extremely impressive with zero hermaphrodism indoor...after a couple of harvest I seeded all 24 phenos indoor this time instead of outdoor by two half brothers one sativa dominant and one indica dominant...I've/we been working through those beans for the last 10 years...so much fun I tell ya. @lino not sure where this puts me on this mendelian approach because I did not take a scientific procedural approach. @Ecompost my epigenetic experiment began this way and most of these seeds have been growing in soil that consist of atleast 50% recycled epigenetic soil...
The Ol Genetic Drift Technique, Nice!
Actually this is my primer class 'Intro to Mendelian'. In CANNABIS breeding 99.9% of us breeders including me have bred using the Bottle Neck to Founder effect or also called forced BNF techniques. We work and hope to get positive results in our new found Founder strains when we're able to have the luxury of a large selection. Many of cannabis breeders have had a few seeds from a bud and have bred 'Founders to Bottle Neck' to try and achieve the same unification if were successful.
I like how you incorporate "Sexed Link" breeding techniques also.
I show instruct with- Will this work,? and I use cannabis breeding subjects as a foundation , not my style of lecture but this guy is a bad azz,;

I started pollen chucking out of necessity. I hadn't been growing that long and had yet to master cloning. So I took a crop of strawberry dogshit and King Louie OG and open-pollinated the whole room with the strawberry dogshit male. I call that the long way around... LOL. The thing about selecting a male is when you do find a good one , you know it! I've done a few crosses over the years basically just making seeds but my most recent quote unquote breeding project. Is chemdog X Jack Herer X amnesia. I call it Sour Girl and I've gone through about 100 F2s. For the most part they're decent. Some of them rush it and some of them are damn good. But I have yet to find one that has blown me away. But I love it

All my thread have been removed. I understand, Kinda, as to why some of my info is removed. I had a more advanced breeding post and it is Almost a requirement to give an ethics primer lecture before revealing hermy DNA sequencing, con sed. Classroom debates go to arguments like Liberals at Trump rally over the what is now facts and not controversy in the facts of the gay gene, DNA doesnt lie.
But my last Thread that revealed my pollination applicators (never seen in cannabis breeding), my thread Seed 2 Seed - the Lino's 35 Day Wonder Plants was removed quick and I behaved myself with Gene Mod so I'm not sure why, My Online etiquette is off the chart rude so maybe the power ppl are sending me a message. I'll try to post My lab experiment again, It features the Worlds Smallest Hydroponic unit adopted by skools and colleges, just a wick system on steroids, here is the twist, I developed the Worlds Smallest Hydroponic With a Twist unit for seed embryo pathogen removal which cannabis is the most notorious of plants I know of. It fits in your hand and is maintenance free for up to 60 days. Ill create the thread again , I wont type much this time. Ill just post pics of my teacher notes so I hope you guys can see pics of Mendelian on Steroids, perfect course for a lead into Intro to DNA... All my labs relate to and have many cannabis experiments. I'll post a link later today.

I REALLY wanna embrace this and just start pollenating the ever living fuck outa everything i grow just so i dont miss out on an oppurtunity. I have SEVERAL hundred garlic bud 98's from brothers grimm that id like to play with. My issue is if i use someone elses gear its kinda screws me from the jump yeah?
You've got 98' Garlic bud??? Seeds? Well heck. Let's play BEAN TOSS!!! interested? Text me 618-328-8017. Hit me up bro.

I pollinated a King Louie XIII OG female that came from a Feminized freebee with a OG CHEM male from a regular seed...will the offspring be inferior fue to the fact the mother was from a feminized seed?

genetically its a bad idea. but it could work. its up to you whether you want to risk the hermie pollin being airborne in your room.

Yeah, we found 1 out of....ALOT!!! 50-75...maybe more. And it was out shined real quick by the Ringo. And I just popped a WiFi Alien LemonDawg...and 14star Tahoe Cookies. All regular seeds.
I won't make that mistake again.

all good. theres no law against it, just a bad idea for you and yours, bagseeds get shared is all. some guys release seed stock with S1s in parentage, gage has a joseph og male which is S1, csg has a S1 og kush cut they use, and the motorbreath is questionable as well. its all risky. cannabis is hermie by default.

Check it out. If I have a strain that has Chemdog as the (f) and a super wham-o-dine sativa like Jack the Ripper as the (m) and I have 10 regular seeds. I pick the best male and female to make F2s . If I select the most Chem dom ( f) and Chem dom (m) eventually I will get phenos that are more and more Chem dom until I have a plant that is almost completely chem??? Right? Haha, is this "cubing " ? Or running an IBL? if you don't know, that's cool. But, I need some feedback from some of you pros here.

Lorax, I think using others gear for breading should be fine. As long as you work the line well. The 98' GB? You have hundreds of those beans? F2s ? Are you sharing? Do you have an idea for what to cross it to? Or pheno hunting?

@Krypto Start with phenotypic breeding of genotype trait, breeding by eye sight for traits that will show in anyones garden. Use punnett charts, they tell us where we've been and they our map to where we are headed with your breeding project. Yes , all breeders cross for smell, potency and taste, but also find Specific traits that you desire other than smell, potency and taste. I like to say "with cannabis find traits you Dont want" and breed them out of the strain. If you have the parents charts (chem x ripper) then you got a jump but that doesnt happen in cannabis. Okay once you master p aharts you can see/speculate traits from parents. If you have pedigree charts then you can zero in on what you got and where t ogo but in cannabis thats a luxury
Okay we can go backwards to speculate the traits kinda, we should have 100's of seedlings but thats a luxury in canna breeding, in this case we know what parent owns those -taste, smell, and potency traits and since we know the parents - lets say the ripper is a 'thin yell leaf ' plant and seems to be on 50%- 60% of of the f1 plants we can speculate/assume/hypothesis that 'thin yell leaf ' might be DOM over Chem fatter grn leafs.
So if we know our charts and this is hard for a beginner to see but this would represent our parent cross of Chem x Ripper when have a 50% speculated DOM gene in our cross, where "B" is 'thin yell leaf ' . This is mono hybrid and where I'd reccomend t ostart out with until you have the gene pool at least punnetted but if you got pedigrees also then you can jump rite in with what you were speaking of dihybrid and complex trait crosses,
So now we can assume where we've been,
Chem mother x Ripper father
Psq

Now if "B" is 'yell thin leaf' and b is fat grn leaf and we seem to have a Yell Thin Leaf dominating our garden of bout 50% we can assume that a cross of 'yell thin leaf' Bb xBb will produce 75% of 'yell thin leaf' ab 25% will be our Chem fat grn leafs plants.
Do not try to calculate your hermies this way until you understand Sex Linked breeding, I will be performing a dihybrid cross of (Rbr) x (Rbr) prob tommarrow on my thread if it doesnt get taken down ..., I'm suprised its still up- holyshit, no hate , anyway IDK if this will help you guys with you endeavors.

BTW ask youself , what is bb and what happens when you cross a bb x bb? and you might get what you looking for in i set of seeds homie and guess what , this can be replicated if you got the clones,,, thats how I do it...

In my last example I laid out How to get a 99% trait example of bb. It would appear to be DOM but the f2 of bb at 99% would homozygous REC.... Now understanding this and understanding hermy gay genes we can learn some Sex Linked breeding techniques and hermy's are bitches to be exploited, not the other way around.... if we do some Marker Assisted breeding to finalize we can have a field as uniform as a Kansan corn crop of whatever you bred for...

... that last post of mine may be too forward and inappropriate for some people. And for that I apologize.
