INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE FOR HYDROPONIC AND AEROPONIC SYSTEMS
DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE is used especially in hydroponic and aeroponic systems to keep greenhouses, irrigation systems, hoses and spray nozzles free from harmful microorganisms.
DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE is produced in an electrochemical process from a natural mineral solution. DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE contains powerful oxidants that are physically destroying the membranes of microorganisms and therefore preventing any resistances.
When exposed to environmental conditions, DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE quickly degrades into water and a small amount of minerals leaving no ecological footprint.
DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE effectively destroys bacteria (incl. EHEC and MRSA), fungi (e.g.
Pythium, Phytophthora
, Botrytis, Fusarium, Mildew), algae and viruses which are harmful for plants.
Therefore, appropriate application ensures a safe environment.
Application of DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE at the central irrigation system of hydroponic and aeroponic systems:
DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE destroys harmful bacteria, fungi and algae in the irrigation system and prevents further contamination. Formation of biofilms can be effectively prevented.
DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE should preventively be added weekly to the irrigation system or at acute infestation in shorter periods. We recommend preventive use.
For this application DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE is added in a 1:50 dilution to the circulating nutrient solution during normal operation of the system.
A 1:50 dilution equals for example:
100 ml DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE + 5 Litres Water
1 Litre DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE + 50 Litres Water
Application of DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE for disinfection of Equipment:
For disinfection place the equipment into a 1:50 dilution so that all surfaces, inner cavities, lumens and openings come into contact with the solution.
A 1:50 dilution equals for example:
100 ml DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE + 5 Litres Water
Pipes and tube can easily be flushed. Complete wetting must be ensured!
Exposure time is depending on the degree of contamination: 5-10 minutes
Application of DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE for spraying:
For disinfection of air and surfaces/walls in greenhouses a 1:50 dilution should be used.
A 1:50 dilution equals for example:
100 ml DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE + 5 Litres Water
1 Litre DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE + 50 Litres Water
For spraying commercially available pressure sprayers are suitable. An ideal contribution is achieved by cold fogging. Complete wetting must be ensured!

PACKAGING, STORAGE AND SHELF-LIFE
CAUTION! Close the container securely after use. Store DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE in a cool place and protected against UV/sunlight.
For maximum storability DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE should be stored in non-transparent PET containers.
Stored in the tightly closed original container in a UV/sunlight protected place at temperatures from -10°C to +25°C the full activity of DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE will remain for at least 24 months.
DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE should never be stored in metal containers or come into contact with metal objects such as mixers, funnels etc.
Metal, high temperatures and strong UV light significantly decreases the disinfectant properties of DISINFECTANT CONCENTRATE.
Completely empty containers should be recycled.
