the landscapes are very pretty in this video.

you ever get to see this band @chickenman ?

chris.

Another time he opened at Mile High Denver for the Grateful Dead.
Carlos got detained in Mexico for a couple of joints in customs or something and was couple hours late..
Funny we were tripping like 4rd row and they had plastic folding chairs that everyone folded up and danced...
I saw this fella dancing and tripping and told friends watch this..
I handed him a folded chair and told him here hold this.
he held and danced with that chair most of the second set..
wow what a memory dig up lol..
Ready set go another big day. Got two helpers young bucks work for cash and stash,
farm is doing well on eggs sales. really have to hustle.
Like the weed, everyone grows prices slashed been selling eggs 16 years, now everyone has chickens and cuts my throat with cheaper price.
but no one can match our quality
11 months retire take care of wife and fishon....

My first concert out doors Stanford Uviv spring of 71
Elvin bishop
Tower of power.
They announced the Santana Band is on their way up from san Jose.
They came and played and Jeff Egberts dad sure was pissed when he came to pick us up we were late.
Huge fan, lots of shows pretty much backin the day..
This...

We saw this band right before this Japan tour and right after they returned at The Winterland Ballroom San Francisco..IMO one of the best Santana bands ever...
I recall us getting the Abraxas album and staring at the cover for hours tripping on orange sunshine
We would some how get the album on turntable despite it melting in our hands...
Last time I saw him was Red Rocks must be 20 yes..
I rained so had like the jungle, bathrooms flooded but we were dead center 4rd row the harder it rained the harder they played.

Yea man....Tower of Power baby! oaktown originals....my favorite joint from TP is "we came to play" and than "bump city"...

Flo doing it proper outside

Real tight. Them and the Sons Of champlin as often as possible rarely missed a show...
So may great bands from that era from the Bay area..
Cold Blood.
Joy of Cooking.
Boz scaggs.
Airplane

The tower was great in that racial barriers did not exist..
