I was told that I grow my plants too big. That if a grew smaller plants I would get higher THC. Of course that was from a small plant guy. Also a good grower
I think of it this way.
The longer they have to grow the more that can go wrong. Not saying it will but.... Also this depends on your pot size or medium and how your plants handle your nutrient regiment. If you need to grow for longer with bigger plants you use more nutrients along the way and larger pots. Smaller plants smaller pots and less nutrients and less time for bud. It know every one thinks giant plants are good but then you have to deal with bud rot also and big buds don't get the exposure because the bud can be huge no light gets inside. Leaving thenoutside looking great and the inside either moldy or lack luster. Now in nature you have sativas which go on a very long time but are often not as thick as indicas so they can handle it. In my opinion find a nice middle ground. But more plants equals more bud in a shorter amount of time. Think about veg time. By the time you've grown that monster plant.
If it's not infected with something by now and let's say you have the space to just veg plants and flower some you may be fine with that. But for people with limited space I would say find what works best for
your spaces. I grow using super soil so if I want huge plants I beef up the nutrients that's about it. Usually the quality is similar but I do have to watch for mold if I'm doing so. I prefer medium sized plants.

Most of the time nothing goes wrong but sometimes it does. Like now. Lol. Not really laughing tho. Right now I grow my plants to about 5 feet tall super cropped. Then I spread each one under a 4x4 screen, lollipop and flower under a 1000w hps.

Thats total bullshit. Some of the best growers i know gow 1 plant per 1k light......and this is coming from a guy who grows relatively small plants

that doesn't make much sense to me......imo its much easier to grow more, smaller plants. The longer something lives the more likely it is to die....or become diseased.
Theres no money in vegging plants my friend .....or fruit for that matter
What happens to big buds in the middle of that giant bud as far as trichome coverage and mold possibilities? I know guys that pull 3lbs off one light. Never have been super impressed with the smoke though. I consider them better at growing big plants not producing better medicine. I also grow big and smaller plants. But I prefer a happy medium size. The bigger they are the more difficult to maintain IMO. And there's plenty of money in vegging plants for clone salesmen. Also, if you have multiple rooms that becomes easier.

not around me..its illegal here n u can get cuttings for $15 a pc..i hav 6 cloners always running(ea is 72 site)so realisticaly bout 40-50 babies n ea..i get $225 zip for my trees.each baby is basicaly $225×40-50...u can c where im going.but i can c how its a lil differnt everywhere..if i could make close to same i wud sell just clones too but it dnt compare..specialy wen i do pans of brownies..i get $20 for 2×2 pc,my pan= 16pcs so i make $320 a zip n that case..they r sum real FUX u up brownies tho.1zip to just one stick o butter.lmfao

About week 3 in flower I thin out the canopy making room for light and airflow. I get rid of all the small branches and hidden bud sites. Leaving mostly an even canopy of equal sized colas. I haven't had mold issues since I fixed the air flow and air exchange issues. As far as tricome coverage goes I still have a lot to learn. I could definitely use more frosty.
i hear ya..c its illegal for me anyway u slice it so i say go big.lmfao.i would do same as u tho if i was limited.
Haha right on! Just be careful

ive def been there n done that too brother..ever run a stadium trellis?thats what i fuckd with wen i ran only scrog.

I make my own

Ya me too..u shud get yur squares tighter u will have more bud sites.i do 2×2 squares.but a stadium trellis is shaped like this... \___/..so its just adding couple arms to ehat u hav there.its so u can recieve the footprint of light optimal..yur light shines down like this.../*\..(* being symbol for light).u just recieve the light a lil better.and looks super cool.lmao

Trichs dont just grow on the outsides of the bud.....

Dont know what ur point is w mold....?

Why do you think its not tight? The pvc poles are bowing in from tightening the strings when I put them on. Looking at the pic the strings look tight to me. It was a few years ago I made these and the strings are loose and the poles are now just shaped that way. So I'm wondering what special powers you have to know the strings are loose. :)

My biggest plant I've grown so far just yielded %30.14 on an oil extraction from medium buds.

I'm not gonna say size caused it.
But it was a big plant.

I'd say if the genetics were identical big or small if given love and time they would share similar %'s . They would just be different sizes.

Why do you think its not tight?
tighter as in smaller squares.im not knocking u so dont take it that way..smaller squares equals more tops(and its too hard tucking any smaller then 2"×2" squares).thats all im saying.n everyone got there own way but u can lay on mine literaly wen done.i tie all one way(as in left to right)every 2"....then when you do your up in down strings if u wil,1st string go over, under, over, under with each string..your nxt string will start under,over,under,over...hope that makes sense..u keep repeating and make sure to start opposite of the last string u did

lmfao.its just one of my favorite ways to grow, mostly cause the look(carpet of weed)love that shit..just pretty familiar with the style is all.

When you have huge buds and late rain outside or higher humidity inside cannabis is more susceptible to mold. I've grown both huge and small. The sun produces large colas and sometimes if you just grow that one enormous cola you may have mold in late season. If you create more tips of realistically decent sized colas the plant has a better chance of not getting infected. I also don't like how much space and time it takes to produce large plants for me personally because I don't have the space. But what ever floats your boat. It works better with my super soil method. And when I did outside I like all the plants to make it through, my seasons are short. From my experience also breaking apart large buds from outside. Some plants that aren't gorrila glue and top strains have a more difficult getting as frosty in some of the larger portions as when I have multiple sites it seems in general healthier bud. Just my own experiences. I'm sure different locations and rooms/growers vary. Work with what you need to get er' done right?
