Have you guys (@Wisher619) used drip clean? I just got some gonna give it a try. Only reason I'm giving a shot is because one of my supplements tends do get a lil flaky in the water. Drip clean is supposed to break that stuff down and Kees salts from building up in the res and the medium. I just hope it doesn't do anything negative to the live biology from the mammoth p


Ya brotha that's weird mine gets fully saturated very easily with only 585 gph pump and I'm in 3 gal pots.

I was thinking about using drip clean. The hydro salesperson says it would clean the old organic gunk out of my lines. I don't want to use it continuously tho. Just once to clean my lines. I'm also thinking about just using diluted bleach instead. I'm also thinking since it's currently not broke why try fixing it. Damn! Too much thinking and not enough smoking. Now I'm thinking I'm just gonna go smoke some jack herer. ;)

If i have a problem with them clogging I will address it then. I don't want it messing with the microbes in my res. Lol

I know it's the B-52 because the first 2 weeks of flower I don't use it and didn't have the issue at all (not that it's caused an issue) and I only use it for 3 -4 weeks in mid flower so I could just keep an eye on all the drippers while I'm using it.

if you are using pvc I would suggest a inline filter
they are only a couple of bucks
and you can just take out the screen and wash it once a week or so
seems more reasonable than using a product that may throw off the balance of what you are doing

usually you want to experiment with adding something like
not throw it in during a run

Its an inline filter that protects the pump from sucking something into it, like hydroton..
You couldnt imagine how fast it will flood if your line gets clogged. Not to mention I paid over a 100 for my danner mag pump, so replacement is not cheap..

Im jaming the c02 at them, and they balling out of control..
I pulled 4 gals of water from the dehuey in 48 hrs.. They transpiring at a high rate..

so the prefilter would go after your pump but before your feed lines
so your pump should have some type of foam filter and then what ever gets through the pump gets filtered by the inline so as not to clog the drip baskets/lines/manifold

you can pull the filter off the pump and clean it but if you are using something like mammoth P I would keep that filter the way it is as it will collect and harbor biologicals
which are good and need to stay active in the res until you are done with this run

but the inline will filter out any chunky stuff or flakey stuff if there is any

OK cool I get it. I think lol. You guys are running systems I don't fully understand. I shold educate myself on some different growing styles. My watering system is pretty simple. I have a 150 dollar pump and a 30 gal trash can from home depot. The pump sucks the juice from my tank to my plants through 1/2" pvc. DTW. I ran humboldt organics through this pump and pipe for over a year. It's pretty gummed up I'm sure. :)

Oh ok haha I totally get it now. Sorry I was having a stoner moment when I replied to event about this. When I built this system I never thought about a filter (I was in the water filter business for 25 years) because I was figured it might filter out the good stuff I was paying for. So I built a watering manifold that wouldn't clog between runs even when using organics. I never had to clean them when I started out using synthetics but when I switched to organics I had to clean them using a nail between runs only. Now I'm back to synthetics they should stay clean a long long time. I'm hoping :)

Yep I agree 100% thanks bro. Yea I was just looking at those flakes and started researching ways people keep them from clogging and came across it. The more I read tho I realized I don't want to risk t killing my biology in there.

Yep well they look pretty fucking good now that I have flipped them to some hps, and some florabloom, and now im watering them every 4 hrs during the 12 hrs on...
But they looking pretty good tonight :)

I am telling you
if you can get everything squared away with DTW
you will love it
there is no fucking with PH and add backs and all that garbage
you fill a res
and feed
hell you can make 2 res
one to feed with a float valve
the other feeding the feed res
when the main tank is empty
you refill and then it in turn fills the feed tank

makes life ultra simple

and if you are using Professional agg salts
ph is usually extremely stable as well as accustomed to sitting in tanks for long periods of time

hell you can make 2 res

Ya I'm loving life. I actually just replaced my drippers with the basket ones I think similar to what you have. Since I sealed the connection from pump to pvc my pressure went way up and they would kinda spray. I didn't like it.
I like these baskets because the tubing feeds from the top not from the side and it kinda floods it more. Had to turn my timer to less time per feed

Right now I feed shortly after lights on and right at lights out. 12 hours apart. Soon I will ad a third probably 6 hours into lights on. Just me tho. Not sure when they feed as far as times

I'm liking these better. I like how it loops and comes straight down from the top. Fills really well only need about a minute and a half fro good runoff.

Another thing is this. For example: you are watering 4x per day for 1 minute each. As your plants get bigger and need more water do you stay at 4x and go to say 1.5 min each. Or do you stay at 1 min and water 6x per day. I would say the latter. What are your thoughts?

Me personally, I'm going to add more feedings. Because I want to water to run off every time so adding time just adds more run off. But adding feedings will give more to the plant. IMO
