Speaking of which...I decided to remove the glass from my vented hoods. I heard this was a good thing because of intensity and ir light. How high above canopy (after stretch) should I be. Ideally and also an acceptable range. Thanks in advance!

How do you like canna? I just switched to mills. So far so good. I've only ever tried 3 brands to date. Canna made it to my short list when I was trying to decide what brand to switch to.

I keep the glass in mine and its at 20 inches 400 watt(Veg) . If I removed it , I would have to raise the light and lose intensity that way anyhow.
That's my thought process on that...

You could get closer if you got good air flow...

Cool. I have 600 MH in veg. With a vented hood. I try to keep it about 12"" above canopy. Although I can let the plants grow right up against the glass. (Not on purpose). Sometimes it burns but usually it just gets really wet.

Feeding these light with Canna&Calimagic. About 30 days from seed.

oh and just to let everyone know

it is reported that glass robs some light and spectrum

the problem is it isnt enough to remotely make a difference in anything
