Popped a bagseed found in a zip I had from a supposed "Pre-98" lady that belonged to another party...

Helped harvest her twice and each time they were a QP+ average (long veg) with dense ass nugs covered in a white blanket of trics after a week drying and even without a cure the smell was unmistakably earthy and coffee like... very "dark" smell if you know what I mean, not light and fruity.

I'm east coast so my experience with real Bubba Kush is zero as far as I'm concerned and since it popped I thought I'd see if anyone recognized the leaf shape and what it could actually be since they're pretty distinctive looking.

Pic of the leaf is attached and a pic of the bagseed lady in question will be up shortly... she (yes... confirmed she) was about 1 and a half feet tall before a topping her last week and now she stands at around 1 foot tall and almost 2 full feet in width!

Just to note she is just about 60 days old from start and looks very different from what it came off of... also has a subtle scent of lavender when the stem is rubbed

Update on the stem rub... the lavender smell has intensified notably and is now carrying something of a smooth lemony undertone with it. Fully healed from the topping within a week and on its way to more branching....

Looks like a polyploid to me. I have a tetraploid and some triploids look just like this. LOTS of large leaves and VERY dense structure. Leaves are darker than usual too. You'll have to thin the leaves to let light in. They flower like crazy and produce tons of frost. If it's already "stinkin so good" now - that's a very good sign!
You'll want to take a cut for a mother. It's not likely you'll be able to breed with it and get similar results.
Congratulations!!

@MamaBear interesting, never heard of a polyploid or any other "ploid" until now. Would love to see some pics of yours if you have any to compare! Thinned it out today coincidentally and I noticed one of the bigger fan leaves had an 11th finger sticking right out the middle on top of it... looks like a one finger seedling leaf lol. Thanks for the input btw, now I'm even more excited to see how she turns out! Kinda figured it would be like that with the breeding also... I'm assuming those kind of traits don't appear often enough begin locking down or something...?

Looks like some extremely powerful lighting.

It has to do with the number of chromosomes - not genes. Regular cannabis has 2 chromosomes (Diploids like us).
Polyploids have 3 or more - natural freaks like the Double-Y-Chromo Boys in ALIENS 3.
All bananas and strawberries in the stores are bred to be triploids (3-chromo freaks).
Great plants on their own but there's no seeds (banana) or they aren't viable (strawberry).
Extra chromosomes fuck some things up.

Most important is that the "freaks" are usually bigger, stronger and produce bigger and better fruit than their parents.
Bigger, darker, thicker leaves, and lots more of them, shorter node spacing and massive flower production. Mine are all hogs and drink like fish.
It's basicly "clone-only" because it's a one-off. Put simply: In breeding - it don't pass down.
It's worth working with these plants though since they are easy to clone.
They are some mighty fine plants that will probably knock your socks off. Be sure to take a small cut - just in case.

FYI: OG Kush, Pink Kush, Chemdog, Diesel and Master Kush are all polyploids.

The plant appears to be growing under an extremely powerful light with those large leaves and being short and stocky.
Oh I gotcha... please excuse my ignorance, still fairly new to this stuff as I'm sure you can tell haha. She's been sitting under her own half of a 4ft/8t T5 for her entire lifespan thus far and in about a week or two will be under an MH... guessing she will only beef up even more from there!

looks to me like about to b N tox pretty color of green for sure
If that's the case maybe I'll stay backed off on the N then.. been trying out different ratios with the GH 3 part and sometimes Armor Si/ Diamond Nectar and right now I've been doing (per gal) M-8ml/G-2ml/B-8ml.... alternating every other feed with 1ml/gal of Diamond Nectar or Armor Si. Was using CaliMagic but stopped for the time being as I'm using tap water and my RO filter won't be up for another couple weeks. However.. regardless of what ratio of nutes I've fed her so far she always seems to eat it right up within a short time frame

Good move . The MH will veg her up real nice. Like @MamaBear said already she looks like a polyploid. Does have a bubba look to her. If shes pre 98 cant really say. Veg her another 2-4 weeks under MH then let her ripp into flower. You should be pleased. Heck if you got the time to spare veg her even longer.

If your feeding heavy I would back off on your N a tad. Looks like your right at the edge of N toxicity from the look of the deepness of the green. I cant see a lot of downward tip curl on the leafs which can be another sign. Just sayn to be on the look out. :) Nice plant. With adequate veg time you should have a nice bush. Top her and she will love you for it.

Thanks for breaking it down for me, makes a lot more sense now. Sounds like hitting a "777" on the slots or something! Very interesting... have seen some "mutated" buds before like 4 heads on a cola and the sort (if you can picture what I mean) but never knew this sort of stuff could happen.

I can relate to the drinking like hogs things btw, this lady always seems to be extremely thirsty... I always take precaution not to overwater but she makes me curious as to how much she could really take. As far as the cut goes I will be sure to take one! I've been dreaming about it not making it through without me knowing what it smokes like first so that's a must... shit's messed up! Lol!
