Cool I ran Hydroton also. Im gonna try it! Thx Joey
Ya try it bro. I found that straight Coco is the best for me. Weekly tea and the pot is gonna be one big pearly white root ball. Beautiful. Perlite would start growing weird shit in it. Didn't make problems but I felt my roots would have a little off color. Straight Coco with tea and those things are like a pearl

This morning before lights out.
Everton is standing back up 8 hours after supercropping. Didn't have time this morning so tonight I will position them all where I want them
Good recovery.. Position them tonight then let them go..
In a real scrog we do this 1 to 2 weeks befor flip.
Depending on stretch of strain, we let her go from flip or 1 week after.
Again this also depends on light. with your de I just let it go since the penetration would be 18 to 24 inches.
With a 1k maybe tuck for a week after flip.
600 hps maybe 2 weeks after flip.
400 hps prob 3 weeks into flip.
Again strain specific also..
Penetration of light decides on how much foilage above the net you want..
Who's running no perlite strait coco? Thinking I will run 2 gallon smarts again but ditch the perlite so the pots will hold more water.
Im an advocate of straight coco....
But i could see me trying coco/hydroton in a dtw 8 feeds a day...
So understand how each variable effects the equation,
then you know what mix is right for you..
In this case straight coco is what you want.

Ya I'm gonna just play it by ear and do whatever needed to keep canopy even the rest of stretch.
Like I said I'm going to have to master this lil style as I won't be able to weave thru veg with a seperate veg tent.
I think with clones when it's not a pheno run I will put the net on the day I flip them and put them in the bloom room and weave thru stretch. Leaving about 6-8" above net when stretch is over

I would grow them tall and lanky. No fan on them. Low to mid 80's in veg.
Then take to flower room. Supercrop, install the net, wait a week while tucking, then flip and follow tucking guidelines above for which ever light your using in flower..
That is what i would do with clones if it was me..

Ya but the flower room will already be on 12/12 if I have staggered harvests. There will be plants in there mid flower. That's while I'll have to Taylor it to my situation.
Ideally that's what I would do with a full scrog but for a staggered harvest I'll have 2 seperate 4x4 nets and trays and can run 18-6 to weave at all

Yeah I had to water once daily with 2 gallon pots. The root's were so healthy and ate up all the media. At the end of harvest they were 2 gallon pots of strait roots demanding water daily(Awesome)..

I understand...
We see how it runs..

Well got the stand built..

What if you made a frame with wheels for the trays so you could wheel them around and have the scrog on the frame @Thejoeybrown then you could scrog in veg then wheel the whole setup into flower area? Or is that not possible in your arrangement?

That was actually my next question lol. I have a full bag of Canna Coco without perlite and a bag of Mother Earth thats 70/30 coco. Except the Mother Earth is pH buffered to 6.5 so I was just going to toss it out in the woods and use only the Canna Coco. Last grow that pH buffered shit caused some headache.

Just ordered a botanicare low tide 3x3 tray for $60 (shipped) in "very good" used condition on Amazon. I feel like that's a pretty good deal assuming nothing is wrong with it

So question. I have 5 gallon smart pots. Right now they're in little pots maybe 2x the size of a solo cup. Would it really hurt anything to go straight from that to a 5 gallon? The roots are starting to stick out of the bottom but that tray will be here by Tuesday and I plan on just waiting to do the tent swap/put the tray in/switch to bigger pots all on the same day. Upgrading the tent isn't a dire need obviously as they're still only a couple weeks into veg, but may as well just get everything good to go for the long haul.

Compared to my last grow this one is panning out a little more legit :)
Damn. I have three 3 gallon pots as well since I got a 5 pack prior to last grow and used 2. I just chucked the things when it was done though. Was caked in salt and they're pretty cheap. I guess I'll just order another 5 pack of 3 gallon pots so I'm good to go for this grow and the following.
honestly I run 1gal geopots
and I have literally 4' plants
right now I water for 2 min at lights on and 1 min 8 hours later
next week when the flowers reallt start packin I will throw a 1min feed at 4 hours
in half gal pots I feed 6x a day
but in 1 gal you can go a little lighter

also depending on how tall you want your plants to be
in 3 gal I can grow a 7' plant
in 5 gal a 10' monster
think of coco a pure hydroponics
once the roots fill out completely It is pretty much the same as growing in hydroton
water for 3-6x a day
that is what gives coco superior power over something like Peat
multiple feeds give a huge burst of growth but coco holds microlife well just like soil....basically best of both worlds

all coco is ph buffered
canna as well
they run Calmg through the coco to break the K bond and fill with N/Ca/Mg
usually at a ph between 5.5-6.5

I would just mix both bags together and mix well and use it all....

I disagree.. Throw that shit out just use the coco...
Sry Yoda...

Side note on that: They were planted in the Mother Earth stuff (6.5 buffer) so regardless there will be a small amount.
Well in my eyes and wisher is the more knowledgeable, but in my eyes, use as less as possible..
My reasoning? Because ive seen a few people here with funky mixes chase there tail the whole grow..
And its not that easy for me to get them back on track.
Wisher prob could grow in a dog turd on Venus,
but you on the other hand are somewhat new to the game..

mmm dat EBB and Flow eh? That was going to be my next adventure after Coco
Well see that plays in to the mix too..
And this is still pure coco,
just automated watering.....................
I use straight coco in 1/2 gal pots.
Flood 3x a day.
or set up dtw right from the flood/drain hose(1/2 male pvc) inside the table
and where its at I could continuously drain to my bushes right out front the house.
Honestly I have a plan where it will all come together,
but thats about 3k from here....
All controlled digitally over the net...
Everything!
