was contemplating keeping the tent temp low by having the hs outside, then i could control the temp using warm air from a room nextdoor, my growroom is coold in winter hot i summer, i want a system without ac so that means i should aim to run cold and heat in the winter

the fixture/ceiling just needs to be the same size as the tent, adjust the whole ceiling hight

but correct that was the idea, keep the heat source above the ceiling and lowering raising the whole thing

I really don't think you'll have much heat issue with only pushing a max of 50w a chip tbh. Idk what that type of setup would do to airflow in your tent. If your exhaust fan is pulling from the top it could be okay I guess. Otherwise you might have a warm stagnant pocket of air up top

it will pulling from the top. im just spitballin here man dont do ya head in. ill probly plan it 5 times then build it different, hell maybe build it twice:party1:

ive always grown hps in soilcoco mix, hand fed.
finally decided to go led and get automated.
only sure thing is my lighting and that i will hav 1 veg room and 1 flower room that i can split easily also with 2 seperate watering systems to allow staggered flowering

i know, but this my hobby and i enjoy making stuff, ill try find some fotos of my last setup lol

Its my hobby too bro, i spend hours just staring at my equipment trying to figure how i can make it better. Mounting LED heatsinks remotely/outside of the tent is not something i would waste anytime thinking about.

What is the temps inside your groom area? aren't you the one with the A/C venting into that skylight area?

It sounds beyond overcomplicated
with a single 4" fan you will be able to extract any undesired heat
as a mater of fact when it gets cold you will have a hard time keeping heat up ....
just throw them in like everyone else
but honestly....if you really want them out
then you should put enough in the ceiling to not have to worry about raising and lowering
